As usual, Samura had a hard time waking Lora up. She never got up to the alarm nor to the hits of Samura's. She finally woke up after Samura tortured her for a long time just to get her out of the dormitory on time without getting blamed by that nasty warden or her father. Just a simple mistake would be enough to make her day miserable.
The tragedy was Lora did not understand that. She never found an intention to get up early. Thanks to Samura she was able to run away from all that blame. She was in the line next to Samura when the head warden passed the usual lecture as she did every morning.
"Remember our motto." She paused dramatically. "Blah blah blah..." Lora mocked her silently. At that moment, the head warden was facing the other side for Lora's sake. If not she would have been in a severe situation, no one could help.
"Lora stop," Samura whispered. They were lucky because no one could hear them. They both patiently waited until the head warden finished her daily morning routine and everyone marched outside the dorm building.
The boys were lucky since they got a super-friendly person as their head warden whereas the girls got the worst. They had got used to it. If they were lucky they would get a friendly one in one year since the worst head warden's service was due to the end.
Lora and Samura went to their classroom with other girls of their age, and also with Raluca. The surprise was that she did not care about Lora, Samura, or any other student they were used to bullying. Others were also surprised to see Raluca's behavior today.
On other days she would have picked anyone she wanted to bully at the entrance of the dorm.
"What happened to her?" Asked Samura.
"I don't know. And who cares about that nasty little piece of garbage?" Lora did not give any attention to her. She went to her desk and sat. Not long after the teacher came to their class so Samura could not talk with Lora.
In the class, Samura and Lora studied well. They took education seriously and for the past years, they got the best results at the college. Lora was best at everything she did. That was one of the reasons Raluca could not bear about Lora. She did her best to pass Lora but it was not possible. After Samura came, she also got a place where Raluca had to leave her place. So the simple method Raluca had was to get revenge. Not to improve herself.
She never knew the competition was between her and her past self and not between anyone.
After two linguistics classes, Lora and Samura had their separate classes.
"Let's meet at lunchtime, Lora." Samura waved at her and ran out of the class.
Lora's next class was literature. So she went slowly to the literature class. There were not many students who learned literature. So she went to the back row quietly and sat beside a boy since it was the only seat left near the window.
She admired the literature class and loved the window desk so she could admire nature when she got an assignment to do.
The boy looked at her confusedly but she did not notice that since she was already looking at outside the window.
"Hi, guys!" A boy came and all the girl's eyes were on him. "Your literature teacher told me to give you this assignment and I will hang this on here." He hung a paper on the board.
"After you have done the assignment, you can give it to me and leave the class." The boy looked at the whole classroom.
"The long braided hair girl at the back row, window desk." He looked at Lora. She was looking at the outside of the window.
"Yeah." The boy next to her was going to call her but she looked at the boy who was sent by the teacher and replied.
"Do you know what I said?" The whole class was looking at her.
"Yeah." She replied, thinking.
"Then what it is?" He placed his hands on the teacher's desk and asked her, smirking.
"The teacher was not coming. Do the assignment and whoever finishes can leave the classroom." She repeated what he said with all speed.
"Oh okay." He took his hands off the desk. Lora nodded her head once and took her notebook out. The senior boy sat on a first-row desk and began to read something he had.
For an avoidable reason, the teacher could not make it to the class so she sent a senior boy and an assignment to do. The senior boy was a famous one at the college. He had states and knowledge and he was handsome. He was also the captain of the basketball team.
Suddenly, he looked in front and closed his book. He stood, turned back, and walked towards the back row.
