Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 - Hey, Noah!

"What?" Samura turned her neck to see Lora's face and the boy who was sitting tilted his body a little to see who was behind Samura.

"Hi!" He waved to Lora taking his plate in one hand. Samura looked at him.

"Hey, Noah!" Said Lora and Samura looked at her again with her mouth open.

"Is he?" She mumbled in earshot.

"Yeah." Lora also mumbled.

"Hi! I'm Samura." She introduced herself. Lara was behind her with a lazy attitude.

"Oh hi, I'm Noah. Nice to meet you Samura." He smiled widely.

"Yeah, Nice to meet you too, Noah. Can we sit here?" She asked him politely with a smile. Lora did not do anything or say anything.

"Yeah, yeah sure." He placed his plate on the table. "Actually, it is nice to find someone to take lunch with me." He chuckled awkwardly. Lora did not say anything and sat after Samura. Her whole attention was on the plate. She placed it carefully on the table.

Samura noticed how Noah's sparkling eyes followed Lora's every movement. She hid her smile.

"So, Lora said you are new to the college?" Samura asked him.

"Yeah. It is hard to find a new friend in a new college." He said opening his peach drink.

Lora saw it but looked away instantly when Noah's eyes met hers. If she could trade her lemonade with that she would be happiest but she did not say anything. She stirred up her seafood soup. Taking a sip of it she glanced at Noah's peach drink. He was also stirring up his soup and he saw it.

"Do you want it?" He asked.

"What?" Lora looked at him with shock.

"The peach drink?" He showed it to her taking it to his hand.

"No." She denied it.

"Peach drink is her second favorite," Samura told him.

"You can have it then." Noah held it out to her.

"No thanks. I don't have an appetite today for peach." Lora said it in a low voice. She wanted it but her ego was way bigger than that.

"The sun will rise in the west," Samura mumbled but they both heard it.

Noah took Lora's lemonade without permission and put his peach drink on her plate. Lora looked at him with wide eyes. He smiled at her and took a sip from the lemonade so she would not grab the lemonade and deny the peach drink.

"So, why did you change the college end of the term?" Samura asked. Lora was happy since she got the peach drink but she did not show any emotion.

"I had to. My uncle lives here so my father sent me here." Lora instantly looked at him when he said his father sent him here.

"Why?" Lora asked him automatically without thinking. She lost her words when he looked at her.

"I mean is there any specific reason?" She asked again. She saw a tiny tear fill his eyes but he hid it. Lora understood she asked the wrong question.

"It's okay. You have us here." Lora said and gave her attention to her food plate. But she did not see that Samura and  Noah were looking at him with surprise.

"Have you?" Noah repeated what she said.

"Why? Aren't you our friend now?" Lora asked taking a sip from her soup. Samura could not understand anything. She never thought Lora would accept him so easily.

"Seriously?" He still could not believe what he heard. He smiled at her like a child.

"Do I look like joking?" Lora put her spoon in the soup bowl.

"Welcome to our group, Noah." Samura talked before Lora changed her mind. Lora had the worst short temper even though she kept it inside her all the time. She could be more furious than Raluca if her father is not connected with the college. Nothing feared her but her father.

"This is better than the previous ones." Lora pointed her soup looking at Samura. "Do they have changed the chef?" She turned around to see the chef's face. But could not see anyone so she turned back.

"It actually tastes better." Samura agreed.

"Mmm..." Lora took a bite from her sandwich. She enjoyed every dish with satisfaction. They had learnt to cook better or they had changed the chef. Noah could not help looking at Lora's emotionful face while she enjoyed everything on her plate.

"Ahh... This is amazing." Said Lora finishing her last drop of peach drink. She leaned on the back of her chair.

"So which class do you have next?" She asked Noah.

"Next I have psychology, I guess." He was also full after he ate his whole lunch plate. He had a crispy chicken sandwich, seafood soup, 2 spring rolls, a double cheeseburger, salad, a seafood soup bowl, a cheesy sausage pie, and a chocolate croissant.

"Same goes for me, dude." Replied Lora in a surprise tone.

"Wow! What about you?" Noah looked at Samura waiting for an answer. She looked at Lora and said, "I also had psychology."

"What do you mean you had?" Noah was confused. He was confused about the fact that could anyone change their subject.

"She didn't change the subject. She is a warrior so she was chosen for the next competition." Lora read his mind or at least she knew what he was thinking.

"Warrior? Did you mean she learns martial arts?" Noah's voice consisted an amusement. He was impressed by those two girls. They were beyond the title of best friends but both of them had their own abilities, attitudes, and choices.

"Yes, proudly she is." Lora's eyes were filled with joy and pride. She was always proud of her best friend.

"Congratulations Samura." Noah wished her. "We will root for you." He extended his fisted hand toward Samura.

"Thank you, Noah." Samura touched his hand with her fisted hand.

"We still have ten minutes left for the next class. What should we do now?" Asked Lora looking at both Samura and Noah.

They have not spent even one hour together since Noah joined their friend circle but the odd was Noah did not feel new. Looking at Lora and Samura talking happily without letting Noah out he felt a long-term bond with them.
