Behind the back door of the cafe was a beautiful scenery. Even though the city, they were living in was indeed beautiful, the scenery that they saw was way more beautiful than how the city looked.
"Wow, this looks amazing!" Said Samura. Lora's mouth was opened and Samura giggled at her expressions. "Agree. I didn't even imagine that much amazement when that barista said about this." Samura had a question about how Lora knew about that place and with that saying she understood what would have happened.
"Actually, I never knew there was a place like this. I have lived my whole life in this town, man." Samura said while walking towards a corner table that showed the scenery more clearly. "I didn't know even about the city until I met you, duh." Lora rolled her eyes. They both cracked into laughter.
"Don't you think that barista looks somehow familiar?" taking a mug, asked Lora. "I thought it was just me who thought the same." Samura took a sip of her drink, whatever the thing Lora had brought, trusting her decisions. Her eyes were widened. Lora was staring at her curiously, holding her mug still.
"This thing whatever you brought, really tastes good. Oh my god, what did you buy? " Lora grinned, taking a sip from hers, and gave a satisfaction stare.
"Never goes wrong with any of my selections." Lora was proud of herself. I was douting when that waiter recommended me this. But I thought why not." Samura chuckled.
Lora had brought red velvet hot cocoa and croissants filled with chocolates and cream. It was the first time they both tried it. And they loved it.
"But what caught my interest was that boy, the barista, he looks familiar, he sounds familiar. I don't know why but I have this weird feeling about him." Samura put her mug on the table.
"Seriously, I don't know why is that." Lora looked other side, taking her eye contact away from Samura.
"Maybe we have met before." Lora looked at Samura instantly and took a sip of her drink.
"Nah! He is not worth it to be today's topic." Said Lora and they both chuckled. "Got your point." They finished their breakfast silently, enjoying the morning autumn breeze.
"On an unusual day, in an unusual place in our special town, how about we do an unusual thing?" Asked Samura. "I might know what it means." Said Lora with excited eyes.
There was a pebble gravel path at the end of the wood dock covered with a wood fence, where Lora and Samura were seated, dining their breakfast. Behind that gravel path, was a lake, and beyond that was a range of mountains, which Lora and Samura saw as beautiful scenery.
It was an amazing scenery in their town with the cold mist of autumn. Lora and Samura walked slowly along the gravel road passing the cafe. There were a few back doors opened to that scenery from place to place. But most places just showed the back walls of buildings as they did not want to see this amazing sight or else they did not that such a place existed on their own.
No matter how hard they both tried to take their path, they ran to catch the sight. in different places, the lake, mountain range, blue sky, and white clouds that half covered the mountain were showing a different beauty of theirs.
Samura looked at Lora and was pleased that the scenery had made her relax. "You remember," She broke the silence, keeping her eyes along the path they were walking. and Lora took her eyes slowly toward Samura. "When we were hanging out two or three years ago," Lora nodded her head slowly thinking. " You said," Samura looked at Lora. "You want to see something like this one day?"
Lora smiled, a bright broad smile, ear to ear, making her face glow brighter. "You remembered it?"
Samura was open-mouthed. "I... I," She almost forgot her words. "I remembered it? Dude, it was my ambition to take you to New Zealand when you said that."
Lora couldn't believe any word came out of Samura's mouth. It was the first time someone remembered anything she had ever said. She wanted to cry but she held her tears. Somehow, some tiny tear drops filled her eyes, almost falling out of her greenish eyes.
Samura realized she messed up everything."I'm... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you---" She felt guilty saying that.
"Upset me? No!" Lora grabbed Samura's shoulders. "No! You have never upset me. Never! in anything." Lora yelled. "It was the world upsets me and... and you are the cure. You... you are the opposite. You make me happy." she loosened her arms from the shoulder, looking away. "You make me feel special. No one did ever!" She rushed to Samura and hugged her, Tightly.
Samura was stunned and moved with every word Lora said. She felt them in the heart. they were craved in the depth of her heart.
"If I had never said this," Sobbing and hugging Samura tightly, Lora added, "I love you Samura! Thank you for being in my life as my best friend. I am blessed to have you. Truly, I am!"
Samura hugged her back tightly as a mother comforted her child. She really was a non-biological sister to her and sometimes a mother.
