Emily POV
Without even questioning it for a moment, Nathan puts his hand on my shoulder and gently pushes me onto the couch, causing my head and back to end up resting on the cushion.
Before I could get upset or even question what the hell he was doing, I watch in slow motion as one of his hands rests on my head and the other next to my face. Without hesitating his movements, he rises slightly from his seat and rests his knees at the ends of my body, settles himself on top of me, and bends his head to such an extent that I feel one of his frizzy hairs rest on my forehead and his nose brush against mine.
This closeness then makes my hair stand on end, my pulse quickens and I forget for a few seconds how to breathe properly. I feel like all my oxygen is being stolen by Nathan's mouth just inches from mine, at a moment like this I just wonder if I will have a good breath as my hands are frozen on my chest.
