Emily's POV
The day had arrived.
I hadn't even finished opening my eyes, and the first thing that attacked my mind was that the day had arrived. Even though I was well aware that Nathan's parents were not really my in-laws, the whole situation itself caused me a sea of unsettled feelings that a 21-year-old girl didn't quite know how to handle.
Surely staring at the static ceiling wasn't going to help me with that situation, but I still kept taking in the whole situation: a new room, new clothes, new life, and a lie ahead of me to carry for the next six months.
Overwhelmed by that wave of feelings and the new awakening, I bury myself under the expensive blankets hoping to get some more sleep, however, Nathan's annoying voice won't let me so I end up leaving the comfortable abode.
"Mom, yes we will be there" I hear him say behind my door, causing me to shiver just knowing they were referring to that dinner.
