Nathan POV
"It's pretty" I manage to say. But a question more outlandish than that painting crosses my mind: "Who's paying for that painting, Caeli?"
A mischievous smile plants itself on her face, and without any qualms, she answers me amused: "Obviously not me, my dear."
She turns around and enters the room with me following in her footsteps. With surprise, once inside the room I begin to admire the drastic change that Caeli had achieved in a few hours in the count. With new blinds, new bedspreads, a pompous carpet, and refined paintings and ornaments decorating the bedside table the room now had a different air.
An air of being occupied by someone.
"Oh geez… Caeli" I mutter under my breath, admiring every little detail inside the remodeled room.
I still couldn't get it into my head how she had accomplished so much with so little.
"Don't even take the time to thank me handsome, with the bill you're going to get for this remodeling I feel more than served."
