Emily POV
As I predicted, the walk up the stairs was the cardio work I hadn't done for the past ten years. Each step required a superhuman effort on my part, as all Nathan did was stagger and drag me with him in his disoriented movements yet somehow, we made it to the second floor complete.
Exhausted, I guide him to his room and sit him on his bed. Since everything was dark, I couldn't detail much of his room but one thing was evident: His room was twice the size of mine.
"Are you okay?" I ask him once I leave him sitting on the curb of his bed. "Do you need help with anything?"
To my surprise, I was being more polite than I usually am to drunks, but if this man here was going to be my roomie for the next six months we certainly needed to establish a cordial relationship.
"I'm just fine" He replies.
