Emily POV
During the ride to his apartment in the quirky yellow car that was loaded, multiple thoughts were running through my head. Thoughts made me question whether I was acting in the right way. So much was happening in just 24 hours of meeting him, of seeing him for the first time, and I still didn't understand why I didn't put the brakes on this roller coaster that was going at the speed of light.
Maybe I didn't want to put the brakes on, maybe I wanted to see where this whole situation of pretending to be the rich boy's girlfriend was taking me. Maybe I didn't want to put the brakes on it because in my mind there was the smell of six thousand euros in my account, and although that sounds materialistic, the money was a lifesaver for my parents' current situation, and instead, they were asking me to pretend to be the girlfriend of a man for whom more than one seemed to die.
