Emily POV
Amid my fury and clumsiness, I opened a shelf abruptly, causing one of the glasses to fall to the floor and shatter into a thousand pieces, startling everyone in the room.
Especially Nathan, who finally takes his eyes off the girl who had him so amused. He lays his eyes on mine and then his neurons seem to connect, remembering my presence in the room.
He hurriedly leaves the girl's side and runs to me with concern on his face.
"What happened? Are you all right?" he asks in alarm as he looks me up and down. "You're not hurt, is everything okay?"
He questions once again however the answers fail to come out of my mouth. In my mind only the romantic scene between Nathan and the girl played over and over again, I couldn't help but look at him with pure anger on my face.
