Emily POV
I arrive home with Nathan's message in mind, which I hadn't even bothered to answer because a knot in my stomach wouldn't allow me to do so. I had Jordan's head planted in my head, and even though the man had insisted that I take it on the positive side, I just couldn't do it.
My head kept spinning that the man was not a one-woman resource.
"So Jordan has left you traumatized with the poor boy" Lana concludes after telling him my woes, as she stuffs a few pairs of my shoes into a box.
"Traumatized? Girl, did you hear what I just told you?" I tape around a box, set it aside, and look at my friend incredulously.
I had just told her that the man had my hair standing on end because of his defined reputation that I barely knew.
