Chapter 21 - You got the wrong room

"Why don't we sit together since we are known it other? It's has been long we have chit chat leisurely, isn't it?" Deacon suggested that, like some kind of hunter find their prey and ready to strike down and ended the hunt.

"Unfortunately, we would like to have our own dinner table, since we want to short out teamwork" Farley rejected him immediately without asking other team opinion, since he known better not to join them. "Well, we don't want to disturb any longer of you enjoy time" he turns around to face his team especially to the waiter to lead the way and said "Shall we" Farley circle his hand around Leigh waist, hold her there securely and all of them walk past them with smile following the waiter.

Deacon eyes narrowed sharply with a smile, watching them walk past his table. He resisted the urge to throw a fist at Farley's face, who smiled sweetly but scornfully.

His eyes were fixed on Leigh's figure, scrutinizing her every move. He wanted to know what kind of woman she was to trigger his Lady to order to spy on her. She's just an apprentice at Yannick corporation, of course she already has more experience before working at Yannick. The problem is, she has wandered around in the world of architectural design but why has she only now become the centre of attention of his Lady, more precisely since she joined Yannick corporation.

He chose to sit, fortunately his gaze was facing the table where they were sitting. So, he could continue researching the situation, though he tried to be less obvious in his actions, so as not to be suspicious by them.

Meanwhile, Farley's team sat at a table on the inside of the restaurant. This time they chose a safer place and could see from various directions inside the restaurant, so they could act immediately if there was even the slightest suspicious movement.

Leigh felt confused about Deacon, ever since she came face to face with him this afternoon had sent a sense of discomfort, especially his predatory gaze, wanting to devour her whole at the right time.

She had only seen him today, but why he seemed to have known her for a long time, the way he greeted her was like greeting a close friend. But it looks weird and scary. She just wanted to be as far away from him as possible. Don't even want to deal with him. Every now and then she glanced at Deacon and unfortunately a few glances formed his eyes, and he smiled sweetly at her while giving off a friendly vibe, ready to put his arm around her if she needed help.

"Leigh, are you okay?" Sentia asked her with concern face, since she keep quite sat there with strange act. She can fell her anxiety, she holds her right hand with both hand to send her warmth attention toward her. So, she knows, she is not alone here.

"Huh" she jolted, shock seem on her face "Yeah... I am fine" she stammered, unsure if the answer was correct to her question. Her hands were cold but oddly sweaty, she really felt uncomfortable here. She hoped this dinner would end soon and she could go home to rest.

"Excuse me, I need to go to restroom" she hurried to her feet awkwardly, but before she could walk, Sentia asked her.

"Do you need to be accompanied dear?" there was worry in her eyes when she asked her, she knew what was worrying her but she couldn't force her to speak right now. Not here with a suspicious person on the other side of the table.

"No, no need to. I can go by myself" she walked from the dining table to the restroom with clumsy steps, she avoided looking at the Deacon who she clearly knew he was looking at her.

She goes to the restroom, not to pee. She just needed a moment's diversion, she walked over to the sink, she washed her face there, because she saw the sweat on her forehead. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her brows furrowed, she still felt anxious. Anxiety that made no sense to her. She had never felt anything like this, not with the piercing gaze of the Deacon.

'It's just an unfounded concern, I shouldn't get carried away, don't panic, get out and you'll be fine'. The moment she wanted to turn around she gasped, startled.

"You look beautiful" Deacon's voice echoed in the not-so-big room of the small restroom, which only had 3 small rooms in it.

The vibrations in his voice sent out the anxious vibes she had been trying to get rid of but now came back and even turned into fear. He was standing at the end of the wall, leaning his body casually there, as if he didn't feel like going to the wrong restroom. "How..., when did you...You shouldn't be here" she stammered, clumsily. She would know if anyone entered through the door. They would walk past her and the sound of their footsteps would be heard. But he, she didn't see him enter and he was already standing there leisurely.

"And why is that?" he replied casually, a dangerous smile etched on his square face, thick eyebrows, bright gray eyes, a look of intimidation. Making the person being stared at tremble down to the spine.

"Because this is a woman's restroom" she doesn't need to explain this, that whoever walks in through the door, there is a sign of the women's restroom. Except he's blind and can't see. The problem is, did he enter through the door?

"My bad, I didn't see it," he said with a shrug. Like it's not a serious thing to discuss. He even had a smirk on his lips.

He stood up straight, straightening his clothes. Stepping unsteadily towards her looks seductive. His face turned serious, dark, and intimidating. "You shouldn't have won the project tender, or should I say, you shouldn't have come to today's meeting, but it seems these words are too late to say. So, sorry I have no other choice" after he finished speaking, he was already 2 steps away from Leigh, his hands raised, trying to reach her shoulders.

But before that happened. the door slammed open with such a loud thud that the tiled walls of the restroom shook. Behind the door, Farley's figure emerged and quickly grabbed Leigh's hand, pulling her behind him and hiding her from Deacon. Sentia also walked quickly and stood beside her.

Deacon bit his teeth, his face bright red. He lost fast. And now his target was hiding behind Farley who was looking at him with a deadly sharp dagger.

Farley tilted his head to the right slightly, not knowing what was going on with him, at a crucial time like this he could still smile sweetly, like meeting a business colleague at a famous event "You got the wrong room Deacon, should I show the sign of the woman restroom at the door. Or you didn't know about the sign. I can teach you with that. Like I teach to three-year-old child, come" he tilted his body slightly, showing the attitude of welcoming Deacon like he was leading a child to follow him.
