He was a loyal person, recruited by Farley hundreds of years ago. In addition to the pick-up and drop-off, he also acts as a spy for the delegates who are picked up and delivered. He was always in contact with Farley whenever there was any suspicious movement and Farley would take immediate action. Due to his understated appearance, no one would mistake him for a spy, which was a distinct advantage of his appearance.
Ezra was grateful to have met Farley. While others in his race viewed him as the scum of society but because of his generosity Farley recruited him and here he is now. If it wasn't for him, he wouldn't be where he is now. He is indebted to him. So, he pledged allegiance to him and indirectly also pledged allegiance to his great master.
"Yes.. yes.. nice to meet you again Mr. Vhaken" he answered shyly.
"Nice to meet you too Mr Ezra (Ezra for Farley)" Farley and Leigh greeted him with a friendly smile.
"Yes, nice to meet you too Mr Farley and Ms Leigh" he answered simply "Come" he asked, inviting them to follow him, until they arrived at the road in front of the arrival gate, there was already a black Cough car waiting for them.
Ezra nimbly, put their luggage into the trunk of the car, then one by one he invited them to get into the car. Farley chose to sit in the passenger seat because there he could monitor and see everything clearly. While Ezra, Leigh and Vhaken sat in the back seat.
After everyone was seated, Ezra asked the driver to take them to the hotel that had been booked for the training participants.
As for Farley, he already has his own private place. He would just drop Leigh and Vhaken at the hotel and then head to his residence. But before that he needed to go to his master's house first.
Leigh was stunned standing in front of the hotel which was intended for trainees. She was astonished, this is not an ordinary hotel but a 5-star hotel. A hotel where people are respected, famous, popular, high state officials, or rich people. This is too much for her. Only for an international training, the participants stay at this hotel.
She thought maybe on the Company side, it seems that they really value their employees. Leigh had felt this way in her office during the three months she had worked. Her heart was moved, the warmth she had been feeling was getting more and more imprinted in the deepest part of her heart. So, she was determined, she would work hard for the company. She strengthens her heart, will try her best to pass the training. Every lesson she learns here she will apply after returning to her office. She already misses Sentia at this time. She wished Sentia was here too.
"Hey, what is it, little one?" Vhaken poked her arm with his elbow as both his hands were full of both his and Leigh's luggage.
Leigh's face immediately turned red. "Nothing" she answered shortly, lowering her head to hide her face, because she knew by now her face must be red. If her mother were here, she would surely pinch her cheeks, exasperated. her mother always did that when she was around.
Before she walked into the hotel, she turned to Farley, expressed her gratitude, then hurriedly walked into the hotel following Ezra.
Ezra had prepared everything, he just needed to go to the registration counter to pick up the room key. All have been registered according to the names registered. All participants have been picked up using an exclusive bus and checked in at the hotel. They were the last group and were deliberately separated from the others, especially since they were with Farley. Ezra knew very well without any orders from him. He had already prepared a separate transport from the others. Because Farley wanted privacy. And not just anyone can interact directly with him.
So here he was, standing in front of the registration desk "The key Please for Mr Vhaken and Ms Leigh" he said to the waiter there. Without waiting, the waiter immediately gave the key to Ezra.
"Please follow me" Ezra said to Vhaken and Leigh, they wordlessly following him right behind him into the elevator.
Everyone got into the elevator without a hitch. The door closed, Ezra pressed the number 70 floors.
Leigh was taken aback by the order of floor numbers on the right side of the elevator. Eyes wide open, mouth agape. 'Holy crap how tall is this hotel?' The highest number there was number 77. With Ezra dialing 70 it was 7 floors away and she was already on the highest floor in the hotel. She failed to see the accommodation details provided by Sentia. She should have done some research for this hotel. she would have done it once she was in her hotel room.
Unbeknownst to her, someone was amused by her every move, reading her expression. Then he simply said while Ezra was standing in their midst. "Yes, you are right, this is the highest hotel in the world, and we are 7 floors more to reach the highest floor here" he said while smiling widely at the reaction of Leigh whose face was full of horror, glancing between him and Ezra.
He seemed to be able to read her mind. He clearly knew that this was her first time in this hotel. she just realized that she had been watched from getting out of the car by him and he was deliberately embarrassing her in front of Ezra. 'This bastard, just wait' she cursed inwardly. In annoyance she snatched her luggage from Vhaken roughly, which accidentally hit the bottom end of her trunk hard enough to hit Ezra's leg, making him hiss in pain.
"Oopp Sorry, sorry, I am Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you" Leigh said hastily, feeling bad for hurting someone else that had nothing to do with the anger in her heart. she then squinted at Vhaken.
There he was, giggling as he watched her apologize to Ezra. It made her blood boil even more, annoyed.
"Is alright Ms Leigh, just a small bruise" Ezra tried to calm her down, seeing her feel so guilty, he couldn't bear to see it.
"Is it hurt too much?" she asked again to be sure.
"Is okay, nothing serious" he assured her with a friendly smile.
"Don't worry, Ezra has a hard leg and have kind heart" Vhaken teased her scornfully while giggling.
Leigh threw a sharp dagger glare at him. This time very deadly and dark in her eyes. When she opened her mouth to refute his words. The elevator sound chimed and the next second the door opened.
She saw Ezra step out from the corner of her eye. Without looking forward she stepped forward furiously out of the elevator. The second she stepped out of there her head hit something pretty hard but soft at the same time. She thinks it was Ezra who hadn't fully stepped out of the elevator. And she intends to apologize again for her carelessness.
