The sky is dark at night, a breezy wind blows, gently blowing strands of a beautiful woman's long hair, her body is wrapped in ordinary people's clothes, in contrast to the people who are busy passing by enjoying the beauty of the night. Her eyes were a bright blue, matching the color of the clothes she was wearing. Her face looks happy enjoying the sound of the bustling night. People danced on stage celebrating the end of the once-a-year poaching.
The woman continued to walk mingling with the people. She walked alone but some distance from her there were 2 people following her from behind, there were also dozens of people on standby in distance. Their eyes were glued to the woman. No one looked anywhere else, other than the woman. Because their lives depend on the woman's safety.
She kept walking, looking left and right, smiling at the joy of the people. But suddenly in the distance, there was a commotion at the end of the road. Crowds of people surrounded the commotion. Like as a free spectacle of a show.
She heard people shouting scolding someone in the crowd. She walked over and snuck in at the crowd's urging so she could stand before the crowd. There a man was shouting at a small child.
"You naughty little thief, you can't stop stealing here huh? You want to die?" he threatened with a look of anger in his eyes, he clutched the collar of the child who was lying on the ground with puffy eyes.
'Just break his hand, so he can't steal anymore'
'Just hit him in the leg until he can no longer walk so, he can't steal anymore'
'Just whip him so he's bored, a kid like him should be taught a lesson'
The people in the crowd kept shouting at the boy, giving the shop owner a solution to punish the poor boy.
Hearing people shouting like that made the boy pale. It wasn't that he was afraid of the punishment if he made a mistake obviously, he would be afraid, the problem was he didn't. "No, I didn't steal, I didn't steal," replied the boy trying to defend himself in the midst of his fear. He tried to release the grip of the man's hand, but his small hand was unable to even breathe in the gasp.
"Who do you want to fool huh, you son of a bitch" snapped the man.
"That's right sir, I didn't steal. I just stood there, I was hungry, but I didn't take the food" the boy continued to say, hoping the man in front of him understood what he was saying.
Plak
The boy's cheeks turned red, leaving five fingers on the boy face by the man in front of him.
The man face was full of anger, his patience was running out. The man stood walking towards the front of his shop taking a fairly large wooden block. Then he walked back to the boy who was still lying on the ground.
The boy eyes panicking at what the man was holding.
"This is punishment for the son of a thief and a liar," he shouted in front of the boy. He grabbed the boy's hand and placed it on the ground.
The boy panicked even more, he tried to release the man's grip while saying with a cry on his face "Sir, I really didn't steal it, really Sir" he grimaced sadly.
One of the man's hands was holding the boy's hand, the other was holding the wooden block which he plans to hit, crushing the boy's hand. "This is your punishment" he shouted angrily at the boy. He raised his hand that was holding the wooden block, ready to be swung down.
"No... No.. Sir. I didn't steal it, I didn't steal it" the boy's eyes widened in fear, his eyes watering with terrible terror.
Ignoring the boy's whimper. The man swung the block down into the boy's hand. 1 inch before hitting the boy's hand. The beam was floating there. The man was surprised, why did the block stop, he tried to move his hand, but his hand couldn't be moved. It was like a strong hand was holding his hand. To prevent his attack on the boy.
"What happened" he said angrily, his eyes fixed on the boy's face, but the boy's eyes were tightly shut. His body shook with fear. He was scared.
While the boy with his eyes closed, he waited for the sound of his hand cracking. But the second of waiting there was no sound, silence, even the sound of the crowd also stopped. He opened his eyes. The second his eyes opened, his eyes met the man's, confused.
They both looked around. The people stood still, unmoving. It was as if the time around them had stopped. And only the two of them could move. But they were wrong, from the crowd, a woman figure walked out from the crowd towards them. Her face was peaceful, calm, and smiling. The woman approached the two.
"You should have listened to the boy, he didn't steal it" the woman said to the man who was still clutching the boy's hand. "Your own son stole it" the second she said that. The man boy's body flew from where he was standing in front of the shop. Floating in the air, Stop in front of the three of them.
The woman waved her right hand. The man was instantly able to move. But before he could do anything, and he himself was still shocked by what had happened. Never before had such a strange incident happened in his life. Not as long as he opened his food shop in this crowded area. His eyes looked confused and curious at the woman who was standing not far from him and his son. He looked at his son's body that was still floating in the air. His eyes were afraid of what would happen to his beloved son.
"You look into your son pocket," the woman ordered the man.
He followed what the woman told him to do, because he was afraid of what this woman could do. He had never seen this woman before. Is she in immigrants from other cities. Is she a rogue from the dark forest. Eyes filled with terror. With trembling hands, he reached into his son's pocket. And there his hand felt something soft but warm. He took it out of his son's pocket. That is the fried chicken he sells. His eyes glanced at his son's face, his eyes wide open but not moving. His heart sinks. Why can his son steal his own father's sales foods?
"He saw the boy, standing there, he clearly saw that the boy was hungry, and he himself also wanted to eat the chicken meat. So, he throws the boy into the law for what he did. It's sad, isn't it?" the woman told the story of the incident in a flat voice and in the end she sneered at the man. "The child who should be punished is your son. Now let's see if you can punish your son the way you want to punish him?" asked the woman, mocking the man.
Obviously, the man was stunned. How could he punish his own son. His only son, his favorite son.
Seeing the reluctance of the man, the woman said "I think we should switch the positions" with a wave of her hand.
The boy suddenly disappeared from his sight and somehow, he is now in his father's grasp and he can move too now. His eyes panicked, he realized what had happened, his father's other hand was ready to swing the wooden block he knew seconds before was about to swing into the boy hand. "Father!" he shouted in panic, his voice shaking with fear.
But too late, the wooden block in his father's hand landed on his hand. The sound of bone cracking was heard. The boy winced in pain. "Argghh" he groaned in pain while holding his crushed hand.
Meanwhile, the man staggered in panic. He let go of the wooden block he was holding. Embracing his son "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." The man eyes looked at the woman, and the next to the woman stood the child he wanted to punish.
The woman's face smiled at him then she said "How is it, does it hurt, seeing your son's hand get crushed?" she asked patiently but sounded scornful. "Would you feel the same pain if the hand you crushed was this child's hand? I don't think so, you don't care about other people"
The woman's gaze shifted to the boy. "Kid, this is a lesson for you, you shouldn't steal and then scapegoat other people. This will be a lesson for you. I'll let you feel the pain all night, so you can take the meaning out of your actions."
The woman's gaze returned to the man "Don't worry, your son's hand will be back to normal tomorrow morning. BUT" the woman's words hung, her eyes flashed a glimpse of her eyes looking sharply at the child "If he does it again. The state of his hand now will appear the second he does his deed, and it will last for the rest of his life" said the woman firmly. Make sure both the man and his son listen clearly to every word she says.
The woman's gaze shifted to the boy standing beside her. "Come, it's time for us to go" the woman's voice turned soft and said sweetly to him. She grabbed the boy's wrist, walked into the crowd and The seconds their two figures immersed in the crowd. The crowd sound was heard again. The night full of crowds sounded again. But what lay before them was not the scene they had seen as far as they were aware. They were confused to see the shop owner's son wincing in pain and the shop owner himself was filled with worry seeing his son crying in pain.
Meanwhile, in the distance. The woman and child were walking side by side in the crowd. Then the woman lowered her gaze to the boy and said "You must be hungry, let's buy food and eat together," the woman said and walked to another fried chicken shop. She bought some fried chickens to pack away. Then they walked down the street until they found a small pier, they sat on one of the rocks and ate there.
They ate voraciously, the woman was happy to see the boy accompany her to eat. After they finished eating, the little boy's voice was heard "Thank you Miss" said the boy while looking at the woman. "Thank you for helping me, but.... Miss, you shouldn't have punished that child, he looked in a lot of pain"
Hearing the boy's words, the woman's face softened and smiled calmly, "You have a pure heart, even though your eyes are gray, your eyes shine brightly, as bright as the full moon at night."
Kendric jolted awake, his eyes wide open. He got up and sat on his majestic and big bed. His heart was beating fast, his body was shaking. "Keisha" he said in a trembling voice. 'I haven't dreamed of her for thousands of years. Why am I suddenly dreaming of you?' he asked himself.
