Farley knows all that, and he believes what Sentia said that she is a gem. But he doesn't believe it completely, who knows she behaves like that as if it's just following the style of socializing. So, he didn't fully know the true nature of Leigh, just now. He just silently watched all one by one unfold, mesmerizing.
The taxi car stopped right in front of the departure road at the airport. Leigh flinched when Vhaken nudged her to wake her from her long daydream. Because along the way she was immersed in the imagination she created in her mind. "Hey, little one" he smirked looking at Leigh. He really likes her reaction when he teases her. It amused him.
"Don't called me that" she grumbled in an annoyed manner, she opened the taxi door and got off. Walked to the back to get the luggage. She and Vhaken each carried only one medium-sized suitcase.
"Let me pick your luggage" he suggested, dressing like a real man in front of women. Especially the woman who kept him amused every time he teased her.
"I am strong enough to bring my own luggage" she refused with soft words which made Vhaken tease her further.
"Why you keep avoiding me" he pretended to whine next to her, luckily the whimper was only heard by Leigh who was walking right beside him.
"When I avoid you?" she asked, confused.
"Don't show your poker face little one" he answered with a big smile, unable to stand her refusal style.
"You said we were late" she snapped at him, not wanting this conversation to continue. She widened her steps until she walked in front of Vhaken. Dan tries to leave him a few steps behind, so he stops teasing her.
"You don't have to do that, you know. You will get tired later" he shouted at her, seeing her clumsy force pushing her luggage which seemed quite heavy. He thought that she would bring at least two suitcases, women usually carry a lot when traveling. There are more things that women have to carry than men. But he had to swallow it because he didn't expect it, she only carried one suitcase just like himself. And that again amuses and amazes him, how simple and humble she is. He likes her style.
Leigh pretended not to hear and ignored him completely. They went to the check-in counter, after they got their boarding pass, they went to the waiting room and there they met Farley, waiting for the call to board to be heard. They boarded the plane and sat in the seats according to the number listed on the boarding pass.
The journey on the plane takes up to three hours. Leigh busied herself with her work on the plane's small desk. She completely ignored Vhaken. Even though this afternoon at the office, she looked so excited when she knew that he would accompany her. But here she was, as if Vhaken hadn't come with her and was still in the office doing his own thing.
When the plane lands, Leigh falls asleep on top of her laptop. Vhaken knows she is sleeping but he does not wake her up. Because he knew, once the plane landed, she wouldn't have time to rest. So, he let her sleep and when the crew informed the passengers that they could get off the plane, he just woke her up.
"Little one" he called out while poking it lightly on her shoulder with his index finger.
After three pokes, she responded "Hmm" but didn't open her eyes yet. Her brows knit together. She seemed really exhausted.
"Wake up, we landed and time to take off the plane" he told her in a soft and gentle voice.
Leigh opened her eyes heavily. Her face still looks sleepy and tired. But she was trying to get up. She straightened herself sitting. She looked around with her eyes still half open, faint. It took her by surprise when she found out they were the only ones left on the plane "Why don't you wake me up earlier?" she grumbled to Vhaken, the flight attendants seemed to be listening patiently waiting for them to get off. But it seemed the man next to her didn't have the heart to care in the slightest. She was very annoyed about it.
"I did, but you kept asleep, it's hard to wake you, you know. You sleep like a log" he refuted it easily but sounding firm, keeping a flat expression so as not to be caught lying. Even though he only woke her up after at least a quarter of the passengers had gotten off the plane.
Say to the one, who said he doesn't have a feeling for other people around them, especially with the heart feeling. But she is the one to do that. He knows exactly that Caely has a feeling toward him, but he doesn't see her that way, he can do nothing about it. So, he just pretended he didn't know. He keeps hovering around her, to keep her safe, happy, and warm, especially to let her know he has feelings toward her, but she doesn't realize that. It hurts him sometimes. But every time he keeps cheering up, hoping one day she will know, if not the last act is to confess to her right In Front of her face.
With clumsy steps, Leigh walked out of the plane followed by Vhaken behind her. Farley just shook his head looking at the two of them, especially their childish attitude which sometimes they didn't realize in public. He just walked behind them.
The flight attendants who saw them smiled with sparkling eyes, they bowed their heads slightly as they passed them saying 'Have a nice trip' not only have you had a pleasant journey but may your love journey reach the aisle. That's what they say in their minds.
"Let me bring your luggage little one" this time he not only asked, but immediately took action by taking her luggage easily from her small and tired looking hand.
Leigh wanted to refuse but it was too late. She looked at him, carried their luggage like there was no burden at all. Though Leigh knew very well that her luggage was very heavy, because she put everything she needed in there. She even pressed it forcibly until it could fit in one suitcase. She made sure they all fit in one suitcase because she didn't want to carry two. It will be troublesome later at the airport.
Leigh followed Vhaken behind with heavy steps. They walked down the long and wide corridor, patiently waiting for the queue to pass through immigration, until they finally came out at the arrivals gate. And lucky for them because the person who picked them up was already there, waiting for them to come out.
"Mr Farley, Mr Vhaken and Ms Leigh, nice to meet you" a middle-aged man came up to them. Farley only bowed his head once to Ezra.
"Hey, Ezra! Nice to meet you again" said Vhaken excited to see Ezra with his always understated, friendly and polite appearance. Ezra is pick-up and drop-off for all company delegates. For that friendly and polite attitude will always be seen on his simple face.
