Chapter 24 - Train at 10

"WE CAN'T?!" repeated back his words the principal of Voids.

"Yes, we can't my friend," explained the Principal of knowledge, "even if we chop off his ear, releasing him from the jewel, it would take another form to revitalize back towards this boy. No matter how many organs we cut off, that jewel will take another shape and return to him. Remember that Glimmers have selective owners. Once they are chosen, they won't part away from them.

Hence, Eden now must look after the jewel and make his path. A best of luck is all that we can wish for him."

This was hopeless for them.

The principal of Voids sighed as he carried the boy in his arms and stood up suggesting that they should return and report this to the great Lord Angus.

Once both stood prepared, a loud whistle was heard. They veered back and saw the train. One of the trains of the Academy finally arrived on the street.

"Exact at 10" smiled the principal of Knowledge while checking his hand clock when his fellow praised, saying

"Well, the two siblings Meg and Deg do know how to get the time in their hold. Surely they are trustworthy."

The vehicle was a flying train. Its railway would stretch along the way one mile ahead. The railway first spread long on the street when the huge steam engine train ran over and landed in the center of the quiet street with its radium body, glowing in the dim light street.

Its coal was mana stones that were burned in blue fire, manufacturing the engine to run the whole train. Its steam was sparkling out dust from the chimney that vanished in the air, un-harming the atmosphere.

This huge train stopped on the railway as the conductor rang the bell. All doors opened wide welcoming the visitor in.

From left and right, six to eight children step out of their doorway. Teens to children, of different types colors, and age, everyone carried their luggage, bags, and folders.

Some jumped out, running inside as though they were escaping a prison.

Some greeted their parents by exchanging hugs and shaking hands while some hugged their single mothers and left in tears.

Among them was Eliza who hopped out happily dressed up in a long coat, boots, and hats with a flower. She spins around with her bag and stood ahead of her parents, "Mother, Father I will write you two weeklies. Do not worry. I will be fine. I will study well. And then return as the best Vampire Queen!"

Both her parents giggled when her father blessed her head greeting, "You dream big. Work hard for it too."

"YES, I will" laughed the girl in blush.

Her mother hugged her, wishing her all the best in tears, she will miss her.

"I will miss you too mother"

The daughter step back weaving at them goodbye and caught up with the train.

Once all were aboard, the train slid closed its door and whistled high preparing to head out to its destination. The parents behind weave back in tears with a handkerchief.

The railway tracks ahead stretched out till the end of the street where it lifted high towards the sky.

The huge mechanism moved out, increasing its speed, carrying along fifteen carriages, it crossed the street as it passed by the two principals. A force of wind blew over them, flying their capes and coats in the air.

Once the train met the sky, it vanished into the clouds, taking the roads towards the academy. Vanishing the railway line from before, hence it left no trace of rail way on the soil.

The Principal of Knowledge held onto his hood while holding on to his company's hat. He veered to him saying, "Keep your hat. Good thing you didn't lose it." As he placed the top hat on the Principal of Void's head.

When the train was heading towards their side, one man kept hold of his company's hat, avoiding losing it away. As he placed it on, the principal of Voids said,

"It's kind of a sad thing, sir?"

"What's wrong, my friend?" asked the Principal of Knowledge in puzzlement.

"The home where this boy lived, they didn't care for his absences. Though we safe him five minutes ago, in no interest of him, they send their daughter away. Not a single cared where their boy had disappeared. It's a good thing they respect their daughter after she had turned into a vampire however for the boy…. isn't it too harsh?"

"It's always the same Principal of Voids…" smiled his friend while gazing at the boy in his arms, "Bloodlines are still ignored and trashed away this way. That's why Lord Angus established his Academy, least they would be respected this way."

There was a short pause.

A cold wind blew followed by snowfall. The two men looked up at the sky when the Mage said, "It's getting cold now. Let's head back home."

"But, we just missed the train!" remained the Principal of Voids.

"We are not taking that train but are teleporting straight into the school's hospital."

"Huh? That early?" questioned his friend wondering why not the train.

The Principal of Knowledge turned away replying to him from over his shoulder, "To your knowledge, if the mana has fallen to zero, it only takes ten minutes for a Magus to die."

"WHAT?!" exclaimed the Principal of Voids in scandalizes, "AND YOU ARE JUST STANDING HERE! YOU'RE WORSE THAN THE SILVERS!"

"Thank you…" smiled the mage.

"YOU'RE WELCOME!"
