Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Ava had had the urge to contradict what Hendrix had said, but a small glare from his side was enough to make her stay still, and not only that but also calm. Biting her lower lip, she kept calm as she watched the man walk away slowly with Sophie by his side.

It was about two minutes after that they had left when Hendrix walked into the ward, but this time, alone.

"Where is Sophie?" Ava's question popped out and filled the air as she noticed that her niece hadn't come out yet beside him.

Hendrix looked more relaxed had he had felt a while ago, and as she eyed the young lady, he had the urge to tease her, which he proudly did by teasing the hell out of her.

"I just sold her off to some wealthy couple, they said they urgently needed a child, and since I have compassion for for the older couple, I gave them the child," the young man's voice came in.

Ava's reaction was one in a million, and the feeling that swept through him is one that she has never even thought about

"Sophie!" Ava exclaimed.

She became as white as the words itself, and that was due to the fact that she couldn't even think of Hendrix selling her niece away. A look at the man wasn't enough to determine if she was actually lying or not.

The fear that governed her face was one that if Hendrix doesn't clear out then, he might have some nerves hurting her through the entire face, the more she has her face blooming out all at once.

When Hendrix saw that Ava was about having a small crisis, he finally decided to speak out the truth as that was essential and the fact that she gave him that rugged look through her entire expression.

"Wait, I have to tell you something, they gave me some money, thus, I think it is the only chance I have to make it right to you," he ended up saying.

At the beginning when he started talking, Ava had thought that it was a cruel joke and no matter what happens, the tone of the man's voice was only getting stronger and harder, more than anything she wants.

"Are you kidding me, Hendrix? I want my niece now," Ava finally said.

It was a weird way of making her point known but as she spoke, she tried waking up to balance herself in a sitting position, but that seemed to be very arrogant in it's own way.

Hendrix held his breathe as he suddenly had the urge to burst out laughing. Finally, instead of doing so, he ended up fighting that sudden urge that swept through him.

"Haha Haha!" the young man laughed out haughtily.

"What is funny?" the young lady asked as she shot him that definitely look.

Hendrix couldn't stop laughing, but a simple glare from Ava's face made her laugh out so much.

Ava was kind of confused, but as she gave the man that hard gaze that said a lot of things.

"Nothing, by the way, I was just kidding, I mean about selling Sophie," the young man said.

At once, Ava eyed the man weirdly, but at the mention of those words, Ava's mind seemed to cool off a bit, but it was quickly slowed down by the fact that the lady had things to do on her side.

"Where is she then?" Ava asked.

The manner in which her voice was sour, Hendrix knew that it wasn't right for him to do such a things and that feeling went across him so much that he ended up speaking out her mind as cooly as it tend out to sound.

"I think you should calm down, Ava, I just asked a nurse to help me out with taking Sophie to the ladies lodge, since I am a man, and wouldn't be aboe to enter there," the young man spat out.

Ava heaved a gentle sigh from her her mouth, and that was super good. As she glared at the young man, she decided to sigh slowly, and that was awkward.

"I think that I hate you so much, Hendrix," she said as he blew out light air from her mouth.

For a slight moment, she had almost believed the jargons that the young man had said, good enough for her, Hendrix had only being joking.

Shooting him that very dangerous glare of hers, she ended up saying,

"I don't do well with mean jokes like this," she blurted out fiercely.

All Hendrix did was to burst out laughing while exposing his pair of very strong white teeth.

"Come on, Ava, laugh out loud sometimes, it would help you out, I assure you about that," Hendrix muttered out faintly.

Ava's face became pale immediately, and the fact that she had her face to blown out of the picture, all she did was stare at the man in bewilderment.

"How are you feeling now?" Hendrix asked as he had his expression on the lady's own.

Ava was shocked with how good and kind the the man was sounding, and as she opened her mouth to speak, the words did not come out, that was quite ridiculous, but damn It, whatever that was, it isn't going to be compared to that feeling.

"I feel hurt! and in pain," Ava concluded.

she finally had her eyed on the man's face and that is the true feeling she felt.

"Oh! I am truly sorry about that, Ava, I had not planned it for you to have that accident earlier, I wish I had being the one involved in that accident," Hendrix ended up saying.

It is actually sad, but then, there is no way that she could actually he so selfish, considering that Hendrix was already apologizing.

That was awkward, but then, a simple glare at the man was enough to tell her to do so.

"It's okay, at least, I don't have to blame you, the person I should be blaming is myself, and that is because I had to come over here In the first place," Ava spat out.
