Chapter 15 - 15 THE MONEY

"I'm on my way to your house," Kate said from the phone.

"I will be waiting then," Jack replied.

"Alright," Kate said and hung up the call.

Kate was on her way to Jack's house. Meanwhile, there was traffic on the road. So all the vehicles were moving slowly. Kate found herself amid the traffic scene. All of a sudden, the vehicles were now moving fast, as if someone used magic to clear the road. Kate's driver sped up because the road was somehow clear.

"Chhhhhh, boom!" Kate's driver hits a man dressed in a black suit who was trying to cross the road to the other side. Papers were seen flying in the air. Actually, they were the man's office papers, which shows that he was on his way to the office. Kate asked her driver to quickly park to ensure that the man wasn't injured. The driver parked by the roadside and Kate immediately came out of the car without waiting for any of her bodyguards to open the car.

Both Kate and the bodyguards rushed to the man who was groaning on the ground.

"I'm sorry, I hope you are not hurt. Please help me carry him up. Let's take him to a nearby hospital." Kate said to the man and then turned to one of her bodyguards and ordered him to help her carry the man up. She also told the other bodyguard to pack the man's papers that were spread on the ground.

"Thank you." Kate's driver said to some people that helped him pack the papers with him.

"Please arrange the papers in his office bag," Kate said to the driver.

The man was standing with them on the road, trying to apologize to Kate for not looking carefully before attempting to cross the road.

"I apologize for delaying your time." The man apologizes.

"No, I'm meant to tell you sorry for hitting you. Moreover, you were going to the office, and you seemed to be rushing." Kate said as she tried to be sorry for being hit by her driver.

"Actually, I was in a haste. But the reason I couldn't raise my head to check out for vehicles was that my family and I were facing a serious problem and miraculously, a helper came from nowhere to help us out. So, the joy in me is unable to allow me to think about any other thing rather than thinking about the help the person wants to render to us. The joy can't be explained because I don't know how I would have solved this problem, but God made a way where there was no way. I apologize for causing this accident." The man explained and apologized.

"Stop apologizing for not doing anything. Thank God for the help sent from above for you and your family. But when you are on a busy road like this, try to forget about the difficulties you are facing in life and focus on where you are going. When you have time to settle down, then endeavor to think about possible ways to solve your problems and a time to thank God for any destiny helper he sent to you. For God's sake, forgetting yourself on the road like this isn't worth it. Because anything can happen to you. Try to focus on one thing at a time, okay?" Kate spoke to the man, who looked like her father's age mate.

"Okay. Thank you for the advice." The man appreciated and collected his bag so that he could get going.

"Let's go to either a clinic or a nearby hospital to treat the places you sustain an injury," Kate said to him.

"No, I'm okay. I'm not hurt." The man said and brought out a handkerchief from his pocket and cleaned some places that were stained.

"No, you need something, even if it is drugs." Kate pleaded with him, but he said no.

"Am okay." The man responded.

"Are you sure you are okay?" Kate asked.

"Sure." The man answered.

"Alright, at least let's go to a boutique clothing store so that I can buy you a new suit instead of cleaning it," Kate said.

"I can see that you are a good girl, but you don't need to worry about me. I will be fine. I promise you." The man said.

"Alright, if you insist, then I won't force you, but I have something for you, but you need to promise me that you won't deny it," Kate asked him to assure her that he won't turn her down again if she gives him what she was about to give.

"Hmm, it depends." The man replied.

"No, just promise," Kate said. They were now interacting as if they knew each other for a long time.

"Alright then. I promised." The man reluctantly agreed.

"Thank you. Please wait for me here." Kate said and left for her car. Kate had some dollar bills in her hand and handed them over to the man.

"Please use this $5000 to do something for yourself. That's the last card I have in my purse." Kate said as she handed him the money.

"What! All these for me?" The man asked in surprise.

"Yeah," Kate responded.

"Thank you very much. May God meet your heart's desires. I do appreciate your help." The man appreciated and showered praises on Kate.

"You're welcome. Please stop praising me and go to your office." Kate said as she signaled her bodyguards for them to be going.

"Oh, sorry, may I know your name?" The man asked.

"My name is Kate Smith, and you?" She answered and also asked him.

"My name is John George." The man

replied.

"It was a pleasure meeting you," Mr. John said to Kate and straightened his hand to shake her. Kate also brought forth hers, and they shook hands passionately.

"Please continue to be a good girl." Mr. John said.

"Thank you. And you, too, don't overthink about your problems so that you won't end up in the hospital." Kate said with a wide smile, and they laughed together.

"Sure." Mr. John responded and freed her hand, and they went in different directions.

Kate majestically walked to the car with a smile on her face. Kate always derived joy from helping others. Now that she has helped another person, she was full of joy inside of her. This makes her a philanthropist.

The joy that can't be explained by mere words. The driver zoomed off with the car after they all entered inside.

Kate used a Google map to locate Jack's house. When she got to his gate, she called him, and Jack came outside to meet her.

Jack was shocked to see the black, shining car she was brought in. Anyway, she's a billionaire's daughter, so having such a car wasn't supposed to be a surprising thing, though.

He stepped out of the small gate. When Kate saw him, she tried to open the car door to go out, but one of the bodyguards quickly ran to the door and opened it for her. Kate stepped out of the car and immediately, Jack rushed to hug her. Her bodyguards stopped him as the driver's right hand was already at the back of his waist, attempting to bring out a pistol.

"Hey! What's the meaning of that? Are you insane?" Kate angrily asked the bodyguards.

"We are sorry, madam," They apologized to Kate when they noticed her angry face.

"I'm sorry, Jack." Kate also apologizes to Jack as she spreads her hands wide to hug him. They romantically hugged each other and Jack kissed her left cheek.

Jack took her left hand and led her into the house.

Jack's mother was sitting on the couch when Jack and Kate came into the house.

Kate asked her bodyguards to stay outside the house and wait for her.

Immediately Kate sighted Mrs. John, she froze because she wasn't expecting to see someone immediately when she entered the house.

Kate shyly freed herself from Jack and greeted his mother, and she happily received her.

"Welcome my daughter." Mrs. Elizabeth said to Kate.

"Thank you, ma'am," Kate answered.

Kate spent time knowing more about Jack's family through his mother. They had a lovely discussion together before Jack took her to his room. Jack explained to her what truly happened in the workshop, and Kate was sorry for him.

After discussing their whole life, Jack and Kate passionately kissed each other.

"I LOVE YOU, KATE," Jack confesses his true love for her as they break the kiss.

"I love you too, Jack, and I hope my dad will understand this," Kate responded to Jack.

Jack hugged her and cuddled her to comfort her soul.

After a long hug, they finally broke it.

"Escort me outside, please," Kate pleaded with Jack.

"Sure, why won't I?" Jack responded with a smile.

They went to the car and Kate took out a brown envelope from the car and then followed back to the house.

"I'm not giving you this money, I'm giving it to your mom to keep it for your dad since you said he has gone to work," Kate said to Jack with a smile.

"No problem. Do whatever you want." Jack replied and smiled back at her.

Kate handed the brown envelope that contained the $1 million in it. Jack and his mom were full of happiness. They appreciated her.

After a while, Kate left for her house before her father comes back. He doesn't allow her to go out without telling him a concrete reason, but she had to warn all the house servants not to tell her father that she went out.
