Jessica came out of the shop, and she saw Kate sitting and peacefully operating her phone outside. Meanwhile, Kate didn't call for Jessica's attention when she came to the shop.
"Kate!" Jessica screamed with excitement, which made Kate almost fall from the chair. The screaming was so loud that it made Kate think that 'danger was coming'.
"What was that screaming fo…" before Kate's statement could even land on the ground, Jessica had hugged her so tight that she almost fell, if not for the help of Kate's bodyguard, they would have seen themselves rolling on the floor, all because of joy.
"What sort of happiness is this?" Kate asked Jessica.
"Am sorry, I was so shocked to see you here," Jessica replied with a wide smile on her face.
"Oh gosh! I almost lick the ground." Kate whined to her as she placed her hand on her forehead.
"Can't you forgive a friend?" Jessica said and took Kate by the hand. Kate reluctantly stood up from the chair and followed Jessica inside the shop.
Kate's bodyguards stood outside the shop. Each stood aside the shop door sides.
Jessica offered Kate an office chair to sit on. "My friend, relax yourself." Jessica sat her down and patted Kate's cheeks.
"Aww, thank you." Kate appreciated her.
"Don't Thank me yet, you need to promise me something," Jessica said with a serious tone.
"Which is?" Kate asked as she paid attention to hear what she wanted to say.
"Promise me that you won't leave early," Jessica said and crossed her arms on her chest.
"Oh, is that why you are standing in front of me like a statue?" Kate mockingly said.
"I don't care whether I'm a statue or not, just promise me that you won't leave early." Jessica insisted.
"Goddamn it! I won't promise you anything." Kate smirked.
"Why?" Jessica asked, looking sad.
"Because I'm staying with you here until you are done with today's sale," Kate replied to her.
"Like seriously?" Another excitement gripped Jessica once more.
Jessica was overjoyed because Kate wasn't going any time soon. Jessica sat close to Kate as they discussed a lot.
Discussing other things doesn't mean Kate will forget her primary intention of going to Jessica's shop. Absolutely not.
After a few minutes of discussing other things, Kate broke the silence of what she came to gist Jessica about. Although Kate knew that Jessica and Jack knew each other, she wouldn't want to let any of them know about that. She prefers pretending to the two individuals in her life that she knew them. Why she was doing this was because she really wanted to know if Jack and Jessica are not in a relationship.
She wanted to know if Jack would be faithful to her, and she would also get some information about him from Jessica, but she won't let Jessica know about it.
"Jessica, can I ask you a question?" Kate's voice came.
"Sure," was Jessica's answer.
"How do you feel when you are into a relationship?" Kate shyly asked.
"Hmm." Jessica sighed. "Actually, I haven't been in a relationship before, so I can't really explain how one feels when he or she is into it," Jessica answered.
"So, you mean you haven't had a boyfriend before?" Kate asked in surprise.
"Why are you surprised? Am I too old not to find one in the future?" Jessica snorted a derisory reply and clapped her hands.
Kate intensively stared at her.
"Well, I will say you are missing a lot," Kate said to her and chuckled.
"Like what am I missing?" Jessica asked and carried her right leg and placed it on the other.
"The sweetness in it," Kate replied and looked away to avoid eye contact with Jessica. Not because she was shy, but she just feels like doing it because Jessica may ask her, "which sweetness?" And she wasn't ready to answer that. She only mentioned sweetness, but she didn't even know why she said so.
"What do you mean by sweetness?" The question she was avoiding was finally asked.
"I owe no explanation for that," Kate responded.
"Oh, I can understand. That reminds me of something," Jessica said and uncrossed her leg, and sat well.
"Reminds you of what?" Kate asked with curiosity.
"This Romeo that just went out with his girlfriend a few minutes ago, give me his contact to give him a call. What does he take me for? A boyfriend snatcher or a whore?" Jessica said to Kate.
"How sure are you that the girl was his girlfriend?" Kate asked her.
"I'm not a child, I know how lovers behave when they are together," Jessica said sharply, feeling angrier at John, who gave her the card.
"How then did he manage to give you his contact in the presence of his fiancée?" Kate found herself inquiring for more details, as if she really cares.
"Forget about them and let's focus on our lives," Jessica said as she leaned on her chair.
Jessica stretched herself, and she sighted some regular customers who always buy clothes from her coming towards the shop.
"Please, Kate, give me a few minutes and let me attend to my customers," Jessica said to Kate.
"No problem," Kate responded.
Jessica stood up from her seat and motioned to the door entrance to welcome them the way a business person may treat her customers.
Kate sat quietly and waited for Jessica for what seemed like hours, but it was only minutes. She was eager to tell Jessica about her boyfriend, Jack.
"Sorry for keeping you lonely." Jessica apologized to Kate as she took her seat.
"I have been living a lonely life, so this isn't a new thing to me," Kate mumbled.
"Sorry for that," Jessica said with a pitiful voice.
"Yeah."
"If I tell you that I have a fiancé, will you believe me?" Kate shyly asked Jessica.
"Why not? Of course, I will." Jessica replied with a smile. A smile that shows that Kate is about to tell her something good.
"I have somebody I call my boyfriend." Kate finally said.
"Wow!" Jessica exclaimed.
"Who is this lucky guy?" Jessica asked.
