Rex
It's been about a week since taking on the wolves and boars, and I can freely say our cave is becoming a nice home, we've gathered more wood to create our own makeshift rooms using boar hide as curtains for our own privacy, the beds have really helped in making our days a little more bearable. We've kept our own sanity by speaking to each other and our systems… well at least I talk to my system more often, Felix has trust issues and believes the systems have some secret reason for helping us. Mind you I'm no fool, I believe that is the case as well but I see no point in challenging them. If they are able to give us this strength and give us these abilities they can just as quickly take them away, or at least that's my theory on it. "Who knows you might be right, or you might be wrong." Doesn't help that the system can hear everything we think about.
System being an extreme stalker aside "HEY" shut up.
Felix and I have decided we would do an expedition further into the plains to figure out more of the world. It's truly a beautiful world if it wasn't for the constant monster fighting, this would be my ideal place. Walking along the plains, watching the forest, eventually fishing it's all just so peaceful. I wonder if there's other humans or humanoid creatures in this world. If there is, are they as large as the other creatures? Will Felix and I become larger the longer we're in this world. Well I guess we already have started becoming larger. I wasn't expected to grow past six feet tall yet here I am six foot two inches tall. It's been very weird growing this much in about a month of being here.
I did a light workout while Felix made sure all of the landmines were activated and continued to meditate to restore his mana that he just used. We ate some boar meat before we went on our expedition. I moved the boulders around the cave entrance to try and do a makeshift camouflage. With me finished placing the last boulder down we began our expedition, our goal is to find out, monsters in the area, strength of said monsters. Food sources, and general locations of where we would be able to move to if the need arises.
We've gathered firewood and placed it comfortably in our inventories. Both of us have some boar meat and goblin meat left in our inventories as well. I was able to create Felix a set of daggers out of the blue boar's bones. It seems they have a slight frost effect if you channel mana through them. We began our trek into the plains and the further we go into it, about ten miles away from the cave at this point, we've come to realize there's smaller forests throughout the plains, but not even a mile long most of the time, not nearly as large of trees as the other forest, which to help recognize locations we're calling the large forest "Demons March" the plains "Mellow Meadow" and finally the ocean "Mess around and find out" well…. We haven't made an agreement on the ocean but that's what I'm personally calling it.
The meadow goes on for quite a few miles, we've come to realize, after traveling most of the day avoiding the groups of boars and the wolves, we've come across smaller camps of goblins, they don't even have a fourth of what the goblin camp in the cave had. We honestly believe we could take on these camps so we've made plans to mark these locations and come and hunt them. The goblins made it personal with the scar across my chest. Lets just say, I am not forgetting that any time soon.
We've found a hill about thirty feet high. I started setting up the fireplace while Felix placed three landmines leading up towards us. We'll be taking turns on watch like we did before, as the night overshadowed the world, this would be the first time we have actually seen the moon or at least this world's version of a moon…or well moons. There's two of them, different colors too, blue and gray. It's actually really cool looking. I'm taking the first watch shift since I have a lot more energy for some reason, I can only assume the higher our dexterity and strength get the more energy our bodies have. Again just another theory since my system enjoys me running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Luckily the time passes fairly quickly and nothing comes close to us, it's been about four hours into the night so I wake Felix up so he can have his turn of being on watch. As I lay down and look up to the stars that decorate the sky, I find myself at a weird peace in this world.
