Chapter 21 - Chapter 19 (Cleaning up)

Felix

Air…needed…into…Lungs… that hurt. Pushing the collapsed roof off of me and picking up my bow that landed next to my feet. Refocusing on what's going on around me,I see the gold goblin pushing itself up from being engraved into the side of the wooden wall. Rex intercepted a group of red goblins that were moving towards me. I'm starting to get feeling into my legs again , I quickly fire two arrows at the mages that are staying back next to the huts, which shortly after dropping dead I see Rex being tackled out of his clash with the red's leaving me a little too close for comfort. They're already ten feet away, way too close for archery to be effective.

Quickly placing my bow and quiver into my inventory and bringing out the twin daggers Rex made for me, I set myself up in a makeshift combat stance. Holding one dagger in reverse grip and the other like a short sword, crouched slightly. Just as the three red goblins came to realize what just transpired, they quickly switched their attention towards me. Concentrating mana into the daggers causing the daggers to gain a frost like mist surrounding them. Deciding to attack the three first, jumping towards the goblin on the right, I get two quick slashes into the arm and a slash towards the torso of the goblin, before being forced to roll backwards to dodge a back hand swing aimed for my chest. Rolling onto my feet, I dash to the side avoiding the swing of a sword, leaping towards the farthest red I get a single slash into it's right shoulder. Quickly jumping back making distance from the three reds bouncing in place lightly. I watch the reds regroup and take a more defensive stance, about nine feet separates us currently. Let's change that, the red that hasn't been damaged yet took the front moving towards me as I moved to collide with them.

I feint my attack then dash out of the way of the front runner, I lunge and slash the shin of the back right goblin, quickly spinning and getting another slash across the back of said gobin. I roll backwards only to leap to the second damaged red. Slashing it in the throat and chest as it finishes turning towards me, jumping back just before its dead body falls forward where I last was.

Bouncing in place again I keep myself calm, I see the effects of what multiple frost attacks does to an enemy. His body is tensing, along with slight shivers that are barely visible. The undamaged red enters a rage seeing its friend's body drop to the ground, blood quickly pouring around it. Rushing towards me it does a downward slash, only for me to use the reverse grip dagger to parry him, following up with plunging the other dagger into its throat. Life slowly leaves its eyes. I kick its dead body forward and start approaching the last standing red. It tries to bring its sword up for it to fall forward. Confused about this, I cautiously move towards its body. Kicking it over I see its body slowly being covered by frost. That must have been a painful death. Looking over towards the clash between Rex and the gold goblin it's still fairly equal, Rex being stronger while the goblin is faster. It's a constant clash between axe and sword, dagger and claw.

Moving towards the dead goblins that have arrows sticking out of their bodies. Replacing my daggers for my bow and quiver, quickly I gather the arrows from the dead bodies. Moving to where I can help with the battle. Both are covered in wounds, blood is splattered around them red and purple blood mix on the ground around them. I've come to a quick problem is that they are moving faster than I would be able to actively fire at, when a thought crossed my mind, quickly checking to see the amount of mana I have left (50/135) good enough, moving mana into my eyes and refocusing unto the duel, I quickly figure it is moving noticeably slower, their movements becoming slower as I view them, to the point I believed I could help. Preparing an arrow while waiting for the goblin to finish a swing, I quickly let my arrow fly straight into the goblins knee. Causing it to drop onto its knee, confused on what happened it wasn't able to stop Rex's axe from slashing through its neck. Its head rolls on the ground for a second and before anything else happens I move over to Rex quickly casting heal on him. His wounds start to close up, but he's still drained, dropping onto the ground and just laying there breathing heavily.

I leave him to regain some energy, quickly going around the camp and moving the goblins' bodies into my inventory. Leading to eighteen green, nine red, eleven gray, eight blue, and one gold goblin corpses in my inventory. Followed with me checking my stats

Kinda sad about losing two more arrows. I moved back to Rex and set up landmine runes leading towards where we have set up camp. Planning on moving back to the cave when we're feeling better, we are using the goblin's hut as our camp location. After finishing up our defense sleep overcomes me, the second I lay down.
