I felt bored and tired as I got up from bed to hear Haro and Willow yelling while being muffled by my room door. I wondered what was going on as I grabbed a bat I always kept by my bedside and ran out the door to see Haro holding the doors shut since zombies were breaking in and Willow was throwing stuff in suitcases and putting blizzard on guard. "What the Crap!?" I was stunned and immediately dashed back upstairs, threw everything into a bag and came back. The zombies were getting insanely loud enough to give me a headache so I grabbed Blizzie and we all ran as fast as possible to the car we had conveniently left in the back out of laziness. The zombies were ruining the house completely and I could hear the glasses and things shattering and breaking, "Bloody hell.. how did this happen, anyone wanna explain?" I glared at all of them and Haro just cleared his throat before looking at Willow with a nervous smile. He mouthed the words sorry before staying silent and quietly fidgeting with his hands, "our very happy scientist decided to bring a zombie to the basement but made too much noise so literally every other zombie could sense what was going on." she glared at Haro "It's not my fault i'm trying to save humanity here, take me more seriously!" he was acting like a child.
"Quit the whining, Haro!" I snapped before calming myself down. "We take you seriously but you just made us lose a house that had high fences and was good with defense, not to mention how there was little to no zombies when we arrived! be more careful and don't let this happen again if you like keeping your head." I sighed before grabbing Blizzie and hugging the poor worried thing, "It's okay girl, just a minor set back.." I smiled and patted Blizzard's head before she stared out the window looking eager to protect us. "I don't understand, where are we going exactly?" I ask and Haro lightly smiled, "Well we contacted Lux so they said we are able to stay with them and their friends since we were like family and we can stay for as long as possible." Haro seemed happy but I hated hearing that since it made us sound like free loaders or burdens, "Okay as long as Lux is fine with it." I looked out the window and sure enough fell asleep
The car halted to a stop which made me fall to the ground of the car due to not wearing a seat belt. "Ow!" I groaned and rubbed my head before sitting up and getting out of the car with Blizzard by my side except when she saw Lux she ran away, she went over to them and was having a fit of happiness. "Oh, Lux! Hey long time no see." I awkwardly laughed and Lux just shook their head and hugged me clearly worried for me. "It has been a week and Haro managed to almost blow up the house, kill you guys, release dangerous chemicals, and more?" they looked me dead in my eyes with a light smile, "Maybe that isn't so bad compared to the other possibilities." I shook my head with a smile.
"Can we not bring things like this up at the moment." Haro complained as Willow laughed and me and Lux just walked away into a surprisingly huge mansion looking place. "Here, you all may pick your rooms from these available rooms if you would like." Lux said kindly and we thanked her before taking separate rooms, Haro was at the end of the hall, Willows was in the middle and Kyra was by the staircase while Blizzard slept in whatever room she wanted to at the time being. After setting up some of my stuff like clothes in the closet or a plushie or two I heard a knock on the door while I was brushing my teeth, well- finishing. "Come in." I said as Lux opened the door and leaned on the frame, "Breakfast is at 8:00. Hopefully that's not too early for yall." they giggled shortly after and I smiled. "We can manage that." I then watched as they walked off but quickly dashed back after leaving the door open, "Sorry for not shutting the door!" Lux smiled nervously before shutting the door and running off while I shook my head thinking of how silly they are before going to bed, well I tried to go to bed but Blizzards worried self kept barging into each and every room until 7:00. "Willow take your dog!" I shouted as I gave her Blizzard and rolled my eyes while walking off to change into a hoodie.
Once it was 8 we all sat down for breakfast, we all had some eggs, pancakes and finished with some sodas and juices. "Thanks for the food, I'll help clean up." I said as I started to clean up and Lux smiled and decided to help as well even though I begged them to just let me do it. After cleaning Lux gave me a slice of cake since she saw I was staring at it, about a week later Lux's brother who we later found out was named Oliver. Haro had set up a smaller but better version of his lab and would work on it like he always did, taking up most of his time. Willow and Blizzard were inseparable and stuck together like most of the time, Lux and I shared our sibling type bond while also always having silly arguments about how I would eat too much sugar and blame it on Lux for not stopping me even though I ignored her warnings.
Present day 8:00 "----"
"These zombies should just give up and perish already!" Kyra yelled as she struck a zombie with her bat and made some others follow her towards the truck. Their plan was to get some zombie subjects for Haro since it was his birthday today and they wanted to figure out a bigger then paper wrapped present type idea, so there they were knocking out zombies and injecting them with sedatives while putting them into the cars and speeding home to put them somewhere while waking Haro since they didn't have so very long till the sedatives weared off. As they dashed off and got to the house they were all lying on the floor panting and practically dying, "What's wrong with you weirdos?" Haro asked while Kyra just looked up and smiled. "Surprise, we got you some unconscious zombies for you to deal with as you please and do your lab stuff!" Kyra threw the zombies at his feet and he was shocked but he kneeled down and stared before joyfully dragging them away with white gloves on. "Thats freaky." Lux commented, "That's just Haro." Kyra joked before getting up and helping everyone up but Willow was too exhausted to walk so she took her to the couch to rest for a few minutes.
While Haro did his things we took our time to set up presents, some cake we decided to make and then once done we told Haro to wrap it up and as he did that we gathered everyone up to sing happy birthday. "Don't start with the singing crap please." Haro looked at Lux who was overly excited and they just frowned before nodding, we skipped the songs and started to eat cake. "So, would you like to open your presents here or by yourself?" Lux asked smiling but Haro just shook his head, "No presents were needed after what you guys did earlier and practically risked your life doing if I might add, but thank you. I'll open them in my room, thank you very much once again." Haro smiled childishly before picking up the things and going to his room thanking everyone while doing so.
"It's nice seeing him so happy since it's not everyday he's that excited and, well -" Kyra stopped to think about what she was going to say, "Himself." Kyra finished before smiling and everyone nodded before smiling as well.
