We stumbled back in confusion and worried, "Stay where you are!" Willow shouted but the woman did not halt-- For she continued on and eventually stopped a few feet away and looked up. she had half of her face completely bleeding and she just weakly pointed to a store and a bunch of zombies rushed out too fast we had no choice but to run into the first store we saw. The store was vague so we hid in a small closet with chemicals in hope they wouldn't smell us. Zombies were pretty dumb but if your unlucky some are to smart for your own good. They shuffled around in the store for a few minutes while we held our breaths in hopes of staying quiet, once the store went silent we peaked our heads out to see that all zombies were trudging and prowling down the stairs growling loudly as they searched frantically.
"That was close.." Willow said as she unclung from me and we both let out a sigh we didn't know we were holding. "That sure, uh- was." I say taking in a breath and I slowly drag Willow with me out to the ladder leading up to the roof from the inside. It wasn't such a big jump to get down but we could get severely hurt from it, I jumped first into a bush to catch my fall. my arm was scratched quite a bit with cuts but nothing major, Willow jumped next and had less scratches so I let out a sigh of relief. I grabbed her hand and we rushed back home quickly locking everything back up and turned to go to our rooms but Haro was standing there in shock holding his cup of coffee, he walked over and looked at us with worry, "what did y'all do?" Haro asked looking as if he didn't even want to hear what we had to say. "We are fine. We need to adjust ourselves after what happened at the mall today." Kyra says formally. "Well what happened at the mall? if you don't mind me asking." Haro nagged clearly not giving up while Willow walked upstairs not caring to be kind anymore due to being uncomfortable.
I glared at him and as he opened his mouth to speak, I just muttered "we are fine." I shot a glance at him and he nodded. "Good to know" Haro replied as I then rolled my eyes and went upstairs. After getting comfortable it was still pretty early considering they were only gone for about an hour or two, Kyra smashed into Willows room almost quite literally as she quickly got Willow to her feet. "Yes?" Willow asked in confusion as Kyra put on a big smile, "We shall go golfing. We haven't gotten Haro out of the house for ages!" Kyra beamed with her soft smile as Willow seemed unsure. We made our way down the stairs and Haro seemed not too busy, I looked him dead in the eye and he seemed to look at the basement doors considering if he should go. "Sir smith," Kyra says teasingly, "Yes -" He passed awkwardly. "Miss Maxoy?" He added a smile lightly, "we are going golfing whether you like it or not." I say grabbing them both and I threw them in the car.
We made our way to the golf place and for once it didn't look as abandoned as it should have. "This place is pretty good and has stayed in shape considering the damage that should be here." Willow said seeming amazed, "Honestly it's been quite a while since we all -" Haro paused realizing that wasn't a very right thing to say. "We haven't been out much." Haro said faking a smile but I could tell the mistake he almost made of saying all as in including Nicole. "Speak for yourself" I say trying to joke around, "Let's get started, let's look for the things in the store" Willow says as she starts walking to the store and we follow. We grabbed the golf clubs and the rest. We took our turns taking putts and we were all having a good time, "Ill beat all of you!" Willow laughed. A zombie had jumped on Haro though completely ruining the moment. Willow gasped in shock and she must have already been in fight or flight because she knocked the zombies head clean off. Haro seemed shocked but just calmly stood up and brushed some fake gravel and grass off of him.
"Are you okay Haro!? Thank god for Willow" I say quickly helping him up, "I am just fine. Thank you Willow" Haro says pulling his arm away irritated. 'You know it wouldn't kill you to be a little more kind with your tone of voice' Kyra thought as she grabbed Willows golf club and threw all of the materials in the store before everyone decided to leave and call it a day. They locked up the doors and windows before eating a snack and heading to bed craving the sleep some of them truly wanted.
