Lydia frowned and remained at arm's length from the man. Then, with a small voice, she said, "Sir, please stay out of the way. This is my own business."
"Women should look for help when they run into difficulties." This mysterious man laughed while squatting on the edge of the gutter. After that, he coughed up the gum he had chewed, and glued it onto a wood. He touched the coins in the ditch with whatever he just made.
Lydia looked at the actions of the man in awe. She really hasn't thought about that way of getting the coins out.
While he was pulling the piece off the wooden stick, the man gave Lydia his jacket, "Put it on, or you'll catch a cold."
That denim jacket of him, whatever you saw, it doesn't seem to fit. That's not because his is bigger, it's just that Lydia is not used to wearing another men's clothes. Let alone a stranger.
The man looked at Lydia with a silly smile, "Why? Little princess? Are you afraid about getting dirty? Or are you worried this stuff might stink?"
The man's voice seemed more dignified than what he looked like. It looks deep and slightly husky, a voice that would make many women feel moved.
Since her childhood, Lydia was called "little witch" by her stepmother, called "devil of the white skull" by her subordinates, or called "intelligent monster" by her classmates. But never in her life has anybody named her "little princess". What call is that? Not even her own dad used to call her that.
Lydia frowned and asked in bewilderment, "You, what do you call me?"
The man looked at Lydia, then he nodded with a bright smile, "Hmm, yes. Did anyone ever mention how much you look like a noble little princess?"
Lydia shrugged her shoulders and raised herself. She took a deep breath, then responded, "No princess would crouch down at the edge of a ditch to pick up this coins. Never mind, I don't want that money anymore. You're welcome to keep it, sir"
"Hey, what's the matter with you? Don't get mad!" This man stood up and held out his hand to grab Lydia's arm. He showed his other hand in front of Lydia, "Look, the coins has been picked up. I cleaned it as well. You mustn't refuse kindness."
"Thank you." Lydia stepped forward to accept the coins.
But before Lydia could touch him, the guy took the coins off his back. He joked in a naughty tone, "I suppose, I shall reconsider. You have to admit you're the princess. Then I'll return the coins to you."
Lydia looked at the man, but couldn't stop laughing helplessly. How come she's like that? She can get pregnant with a stranger just for money. She chose to be William's legitimate wife for money, although there is no love between them. Now even a homeless guy threatens her with two thousand coins, and forces her to admit she's a princess.
Lydia shook her head and grinned cold to the man, "Sir, allow me to say something. My pride is so precious. That two thousand coins won't be enough to make me obey you. And for your information, that money is mine in the first place!"
Having said this, Lydia seized the man's arm firmly to grasp the two thousand in his hand. Then she walked rapidly towards another bus stop. But the man didn't give up on bothering her, instead he stopped beside Lydia and said, "Little princess, if that thousands isn't enough, then how much do you need?"
Lydia shut her mouth tightly. She kept her mouth shut because she didn't want to talk to the man much. But the man didn't stop talking, even more and more talkative, "Just tell me how much that you needs. Tens of millions? Billions? Tens of billions? Hundreds of billions?"
Lydia could no longer contain herself. Then she took out her cell phone to call 110, "Hello, 110? I'm going to file a report. I'm being followed by a stranger!"
"I confess, I made a mistake. Pretty little princess, you can't call the police. I won't say another word." The man raised his hands as a sign of surrender, then took some steps backwards with a smile.
Lydia doesn't want any trouble for herself. As the bad news about Ahn's Family has subsided, Lydia doesn't want another bad news to appear because of her. Upon seeing this man withdraw, she immediately hung up. But while Lydia was turning off her phone, the man suddenly came forward. He's just doing something beyond her imagination. A quick but clumsy kiss ends up in the corner of Lydia's lips.
Lydia immediately pushed him and brushed her lips. She couldn't control her voice and was yelling loudly. "What are you doing?"
He turned and laughed. Then he got on a motorbike that parked on the side of the road, it seems like an expensive ones. Then he rode it alongside Lydia. "Yes, I kiss you. I really like you, my little princess. Just come with me, my house is nearby. We can start with coffee."
Lydia closed her eyes briefly and reopened them. Afterwards, she hit him hard with her bag, "Are you crazy? Do you think that because I'm a woman, you can do as you please? I can't believe you're making fun of me! How outrageous of you! Who do you think I am? I am not someone to be tormented out of recklessness!"
She was screaming and sobbing. All that time she had kept all her pain in her heart, now it eventually exploded out of control.
While hitting the man not stop using his bag, Lydia went on screaming again crying, "I am aware that you underestimate me. You're all expecting a great show, but what can I do? I have no other choice, I cannot see the hard work of dad in vain. All you can do is make fun of me casually, say I'm not ashamed, say I don't know myself. But if you were truly faced with a situation like mine, what would you do? Watching my own dad's efforts vanish like this, seeing my own father at the hospital and not having any surgical expenses. Not everybody is so fortunate. Not everyone can be spoiled and arrogant!"
She kept crying hysterically, then squatting and shouting, "I have harmed no one either. Did I committed a despicable crime? Why? Why is everyone so cruel to me? Why did everybody come around and torture me? I can handle being tormented by someone who doesn't like me. But why is it that, even you strangers who appeared out of nowhere, played with me, too! I just don't want to disappoint my dad, what else can I do?"
The man moved toward Lydia's side. Then he helped Lydia get up and gently touched her head, "Hey, little princess, I'm sorry. It seems I was annoying you, it's my fault. But you don't have to get upset like that, do you? If you don't like what I did, go ahead and punch me. Don't cry your eyes out. Not to mention, I'm not playing with you. I really do love you, love at first glance. A woman as fierce as you, who dares torment? Who does that to you?"
