Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 Being a Poor

Lydia then brushed the hand of the man, and she squatted again. She looked at the man and replied with an acute tone, "That is not your business!"

The man crouched down in front of her, "Hey, you are a little girl. What are you so emotionally upset about?"

That doesn't have anything to do with you. You're nothing but a stranger and a weirdo. Stay away from me!" Lydia kept shouting violently at that man.

"Just calm down! You should pay attention, because all good men don't want a ferocious woman." The man laughed, there isn't any sign of anger in his eyes. On the contrary, he approached Lydia more closer.

Lydia squatted down right away and took a look at the man. Then she shoved her head into her own arms. The man slowly drew closer to Lydia, with some tension, he asked, "What's going on? Don't you feel all right? If you're feeling unwell, I can get you to a hospital."

Lydia slowly lifted her head to watch the man. Suddenly she took her sunscreen spray out of her bag, and sprayed it on with all her strength into his eyes.

The man uttered a small scream while holding his eyes, "Aaa... What are you spraying, what is that? A pepper spray?"

Lydia got up and spoke coldly, "No need for pepper spray, just sunscreen spray to take care of yourself. Next time you want to seduce a woman, you should see her character first. Simply comforting women with a few words is not enough."

After saying that, Lydia kicked him. She then left the man and boarded the newly arrived bus.

"Ah, you have just left me alone? How about me? Don't leave me, my little princess." The man kept his eyes closed, but all he could only see the back of Lydia.

He rubbed his eyes and laughed bitterly, "Sunscreen spray? What a vicious woman!

After getting on the bus, Lydia looked at the pathetic man through the window and smiled with relief. Then she carefully put on her sunscreen spray and murmured, "I cannot believe that. I actually wasted so much sunscreen spray on that person. Not to mention, this is a branded one. I have no idea when I'll have the money to buy it back. I assume today is my bad luck..."

Reflecting to such an extent, Lydia stroked her lips and smiled bitterly. Was she also beginning to regret such matters? She hasn't used her sunscreen as much, but now she feels like she squandered so much money. She didn't expect herself to be so stingy.

At that moment Lydia shook her head, helpless. Not only did she have to be frugal with her makeup, but she also uses public transport to come home. This is because she only had five thousand coins. Not to mention she has no money to buy gasoline for her car. She went so far as to sell her car.

For the first time in her life, Lydia felt the feeling of being poor. She once asked herself why many people with inappropriate family circles always looked humble, it turned out that a poor word was enough to suppress all self-esteem and pride. The poor must always be careful at each stage, so they can avoid embarrassing situations, because they have absolutely no other guarantees.

If so, how can she maintain pride and respect for herself? When the cost of food, socializing, travelling alone cannot be guaranteed, how can she guarantee her pride and dignity? There is much self-esteem which should be formed from a material foundation. Now that Lydia was amazed by the people who remained calm and loved each other during times of poverty, she finally knew how much trust she needed. But Lydia also knew that in order to understand all that, she had to make an enormous sacrifice.

The bus stop was a bit further away from the Chang house. Lydia walked for a dozen minutes before arriving at the front door. The Chang Family security guard watched Lydia for a long time, until he recognized who Lydia was. Then he immediately said, "Young Madam, why have you come back on your feet? I can arrange a car to pick you up."

After saying that, without waiting to hear back from Lydia, the security guard immediately called a car. Lydia hesitated for a while before getting in the car. Since the courtyard of the Chang Family was too big, she did not know how long it would take Lydia to reach the main house on foot. Compared to a strange feeling when the first time she arrived at the home of the Chang Family, now Lydia was familiar enough. Without needing to be directed by a butler, she was able to go to the living room on her own.

When the maids of the Chang family saw Lydia from afar, they immediately approached her. This was because the main home of the Chang Family hardly ever welcomed guests. The maids then spoke respectfully, "Young Madam, your clothes are wet. Would you like to change?"

Lydia wasn't particularly familiar with the call. Hearing the maid's words, she raised her eyebrows and asked in a light voice, "Are you speaking with me?"

The Chang family maid nodded, "That's right, Young Madam. You got rained on, didn't you? We already have your bathwater ready. This morning, after you left, the Old Madam picked up some clothes that fit you. She specifically ordered when you got home, telling you to try them upstairs. She was hoping they would align with your style."

Lydia nodded slightly, "All right, I got it. Thank you."

After saying that, Lydia turned around and went up with the maid. Arriving upstairs, Lydia was a bit hesitant, she didn't know where to go? "Should I go to William's room?" Lydia thought to herself. While Lydia was in confusion, William's door suddenly opened.

She then saw William came out of the room. He was wearing a black suit. One glance and anybody could see that it was specially designed. That outfit was perfect on his body. His face wasn't pale any more. Actually, he looked so alive, not at all like someone who had just come out of the coma.

Upon seeing Lydia, he scratched his lips and spoke cold, "Grandma had already told me. We shall sleep in a same room. You can enter if you want."

Lydia raised her eyebrows and said, "But I have to take a bath and change my clothes."

While buttoning his sleeve, William said coldly, "You can go in the bathroom."
