"Well well well, would you look at that." Kroft said to himself in the most mockingly clique quote of all time. He skimmed over his status screen and noticed two changes, firstly his class was now Necromancer rather than None. Secondly he had a level and it seems that his constant hunting had paid off as he was level 9. He looked through the system's information and eventually came to a level up screen.
{You have 18 points to invest!}
{Level up points can be invested into 5 different categories. Intelligence, Charm, Strength, Agility, and Constitution}
So I can't invest into Luck then? Kroft thought to himself as he devoted all of his points into Intelligence.
Kroft continued with his inner monologue as he observed his Intelligence rise from 10 to 28. I have read enough novels and seen enough shows in my past life to understand that Necromancers are weak up close. Now I could attempt to cover up this weakness by investing in Strength and Constitution, but what's the point in that? When you think about it rationally it makes much more sense to accept that I am going to have a close combat weakness and instead invest in the aspects of my class that will allow for me to excel. Now if I'm not wrong then Intelligence should raise my Mana and with my Mana I should be able to use the abilities of a Necromancer to its fullest capabilities.
As if to prove Kroft right his status screen changes and along with his Intelligence increasing, so did his Mana pool.

Kroft could feel the energy inside of him increase to more than double of what it was prior to his investment into Intelligence. Along with this he could feel the conscious part of his mind increase in clarity. He could feel the intelligence boost increasing his cognitive capabilities and yet it was only by a smidge. He already knew why. It was because of his power already pushing his mind to such a peak state that the boost in intelligence didn't change him much. It was like adding a drop of water into a well, although you could hear the water hit the bottom it still didn't make much of a difference. Kroft was about to start wondering what abilities came with his Class when he got a notification from the system.
{Class abilities are automatically downloaded}
"What the fuck does that mean?" Kroft said out loud. He was given a question to his answer immediately when a surge of information flooded his head. It was all about what he could do with the power he was given. How he could raise an army of the dead but because of it he would be forever ostracized by society.
Who gives a shit about society, I am literally in another world in a video game. It really sucks that this class only has one ability though.
That's right Krofts class only had one ability. Usually a Class would have multiple abilities that compliment each other in order for a player to progress smoothly throughout the game. That's not how the Necromancer Class worked though, he was only given one ability, the power to raise the dead. Yep, a singular active ability, no passives, no ultimate, the only ability that Kroft was told about with the influx of information granted to him was the ability to raise the dead.
"Ok then…" Kroft muttered. In all honesty he was disappointed. He was ready to be some badass motherfucker who runs through others with an undead army, shooting out fogs of toxicity while bestriding a collosull bone dragon. Instead wasn't even given a passive ability.
"I can't tell if I overestimated the coolness of the Necromancer class or if now I'm underestimating the power of my one ability. I swear if this raise dead shit isn't enough to keep me alive in this world I'm going to be, well shit I guess I'm going to be dead." Kroft jested with himself hoping to calm down his disappointment.
Kroft made his way over to a recently killed leopard and raised his hand to it. A message appeared before him.
{Assign an Activation Phrase to use ability 'Raise Dead'}
"Ayo?!" Kroft said to himself Jokingly.
{Activation Phrase accepted}
"Wait wait wait, I should pick some cool phrase let, SERVE or RISE UP. Don't tell me it's actually accepted ayo." Kroft quickly said while waiting for a response. He would never receive one though, and just like a many of young men he was left on read.
"Fuck….. Ayo '' Kroft unwillingly spoke.
A purple mist peeled out from Krofts fingertips and floated towards the corpse of the leopard. It wrapped its way around the creature and pervaded its ways inside of the pores of the cold dead body. Within seconds its muscles started twitching and the eyelids of the once dead beast fluttered open as it lifted its head and viewed the world through the eyes of an undead. The leopard slowly lifted its body up, positioning itself in front of Kroft with its head lowered. It greeted him with a bow and to his surprise Krfot felt a link between himself and the beast. Through that link he could feel the absolute loyalty that was being purveyed to Kroft. Along with this connection Kroft understood that if he severed it the leopard would return right back to its former lifeless self.
"I would pet you little buddy, but in all reality you have a gaping hole in your chest from where my spell absolutely fried you. Welcome to my service though. Now let's go get you some friends." Kroft uncharmily said as a smile appeared on his face
