Calix was so happy that after everything they were finally going to get married
he just wished that everything had happened sooner why did it have to take 10 years?! but it is always better to wait and not rush things but that's what happened between them too they were too much like his fathers but he never forgot anything
but Macciato did and he hoped that he wouldn't keep forgetting but even if he had forgotten everything he would stay by his side because that was how much he loved him and he was confusing sometimes Macciato loved him too right?
he showed him so much trust and forgave him for everything isn't that what love was? and he never meant any harm even though he acted out on his impulses
he had wanted to love him and at first, he couldn't describe it as that because he just wanted to make him his and had no care for his feelings but that changed
he actually started to fall for him he couldn't believe how fast it all happened
he never believed that this would happen neither of them did
friendzone what was that? they passed that barrier and they could have just been just friends with benefits but then they ended up doing it and that changed everything
and he ended up being pregnant afterward and they were now going to get married
what was next? he would have the child but he didn't realize that This would be their last day together they had gotten ready for the wedding but it wasn't like they could really invite their family since Calix's parent's were dead and macciato well--- ya know and Calix could invite his uncle and cousin but would that be a good idea?
and his coworkers? what would they think? Calix always rejected every woman who asked him out because there was a certain woman he was looking for who would have known that was a man the whole time? and it was one of his coworkers to top it off but he was never going to tell them the truth and say that he gave up on looking for her because he realized that he should have paid attention to was right in front him he tried everything to get his attention and he continued to work for him
but his efforts seemed to no avail and he should have gone to him directly and talked with him the only time they ever saw each other was during meetings
or when he called him after to do more work for him and Macciato always wanted to say something to him but he couldn't and he could have refused to do the work but he never did and all his coworkers felt bad for him
"Why do always do what the boss asks you to do?" one of his coworkers asked
"Isn't that what I'm supposed to do? and I don't want to get on his bad side and shouldn't he see all the effort I put in and be proud?" he replied
"That's why he takes advantage of you you're always putting in extra effort to impress him but what does he do? he makes you do more and you do it why do you let him do that to you?" the coworker asked
"because I can't just give up someday it will be rewarded and he'll realize that he should appreciate what he has in front of him and he'll end up regretting it-" he replied
"You're right about that and he should treat you better and if he doesn't then you should give up and forget about him-" The coworker replied
"I'm never going to give no matter how long it takes even if it ends up being 10 years" he replied
"10 years? you're willing to wait that long?" the coworker asked
I guess I was huh? and it really did take ten years and back then I just wanted his attention and to be appreciated and that's what I got but I never expected to it be like this and now we're going to get married ha It's all so hard to believe
and on top of that, I'm pregnant-if someone had told me this all was going to happen I wouldn't have believed them because all of it was crazy
I didn't even believe that I and the boss could ever be more than friends
and now they were standing in front of each other they stared into each other's eyes smiling
"do you Calix take this man to be your wife?"
"I do" Calix replied
"And do you take this man to be your husband?"
Calix was nervous that he would change his mind
but he didn't
"I do" he replied
"then you may kiss the bride"
Calix leaned in and gently kissed him on the lips
the kiss was sweet and short but he could feel how much he loved him
and he felt so happy his hard work had finally worked off
and he would be with him for the rest of his life
he never expected this outcome but he felt so glad that it ended up this way
and Calix was so scared that he had lost him but he had him now and he was the happiest man in the world he had everything he could ask for and Macciato was that and it was the same for him they both loved each other so much
Calix hugged him tight "I'm so happy you agreed I was so scared you were going change your mind"
"I couldn't run out on you after everything I worked so hard to get you to notice me and you finally did so why would I say no?" he replied
"I know and I wish I had paid attention and appreciated what was in front of me the whole time" Calix replied
"It's funny I wished that you would regret not doing so and realize that you should appreciate it-" he replied
"I do I regret it so much and I'm so happy that I have you now-" Calix replied
"I'm glad I have you too I can't believe that my wish came true" he replied
"Me too-" Calix replied
"I love you Lix-" he replied
"I love you too Macci-"Calix replied
