Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"She got killed and you're not going to do anything!?" I yelled in anger with my face screaming in madness.

"Look Ms., there's nothing we can do, the investigation was ended months ago and we can't re-investigate it," the detective answered.

"What? What do you mean you can't? It's your job! It's your f***ing job!" I ranted and grabbed his uniform.

He sighed and pushed my hands off him. "Can't you see the station right now? It's not like your sister's case is the only thing we got. We are facing lots of crimes and reports every day, you punk! Your sister is already dead so just send her to the afterlife with peace, please!" he yelled back at me and then walks away.

"Wait! Wait! Talk to me! The hell! Talk to me!" I shouted and come after him but the other policemen held me up and pulled me out from the station.

I shouted in frustrations then I felt my knees weakened that made me sit on the steps and then tears started streaming down in my face. Now, I'm crying.

After I gripped myself I went to a small resto bar and drink some beer to at least ease the pain I'm feeling right now.

I've been with my sister since then because we lost our parents at the young age. Since we're still both young and has only two-year gap, she can't do anything for our living.

That's why she left me to my aunt and she started living on her own, stops her schooling and look for a job so that I could continue mine with the help of our aunt.

But then right after I graduated, I received this devastating news. The most painful part is it already happened a couple of month ago and no one even told us. We don't have any idea about her death, not until this day.

I swear, I'm going to punish those who are behind this and they will regret it.

I'm on my fifth bottle when a stranger sits across mine. I looked at him and he gave me a quick smile. I just rolled my eyes on him.

He's wearing a black thick jacket with his back pack and a cap on his head. He's tall but I couldn't really see his face because of his cap.

"Hi, I saw you at the police station earlier. Are you connected to the late Ms. Erishin Villaruel?" he asked that made me give my gaze on him.

"What do you know about my sister?" I asked him, interestedly.

"I just overheard this from my seniors," he started and then moves closer to me. "The case was dropped because someone influential was involved," he whispered.

My brows rose, "Influential?" I repeated in confusion. "How did it happen? My sister was just working in a clothing factory," I reasoned.

"Huh?" he sounded. "She's not working in any government sector. Some says, she was somewhat affiliated with a big private company," he explained.

I was dumbfounded after hearing it. I lean my back on the chair and couldn't believe what he just said. So, all this time, my sister was lying to me?

"What company it was?"

"Shin Tech Group, do you know them? The leading technology company that is owned by a Filipino-Chinese," he answered.

I've already seen lots of Shin Tech appliances and they are really notable people. But how did my sister got involved to them? My sister who didn't even made herself into college?

"H-how did it happen?" I pondered.

I heard him sighs, "That's what I'm thinking too. Since a big company is involved in the case, they just end it right away. It's not because of the evidence but maybe because of the killer," he added.

Wait! Is someone inside that company is the killer?

"But by the way, who are you and why are you giving me this information?" I asked him before we could get even further.

"Ahh," he sounded. "I'm PO1 Carl Ijaldo, my chief was one of those who handled your sister's case. I saw how mad you were earlier that's why I decided to tell you what I know," he answered.

"Nice meeting you and thank you so much, officer. I am really mad about them and how can they do this to my sister? I want her to have the justice that she deserves," I ranted and I felt some tears on my cheeks.

I saw him lending his handkerchief to me and I gladly accept it then wiped my face. "Ms., what are you going to do?" he asks.

I looked at him, "I'm going to trace them down and meet those who killed my sister. I'm going to enter Shin Tech no matter what," I stated and drink my beer.

"Are you sure? They are dangerous," he warned.

"I don't care, I can be a killer myself after what they did to my sister," I replied and started sobbing again in pain. "She has been through a lot because of me. She became selfless just to provide me everything that I need. The only thing I can do right now is to give her justice," I bawled.

"But Ms., you're up against a big wave, can you really do it?"

"I can for her and I won't give up."

I don't know if I'm already drunk but I think I saw him smiled for a bit. "I'm rooting for you then," he cheered and stood up.

"Why are you cheering me?" I asked.

"I just want someone to stand up against this kind of matter. I hate seeing money rules over the law. I hate seeing the authority is bowing in them like they own us. I want a turning point," he stated.

"I don't have any idea about your ideology but what I am doing is for my sister," I replied.

He smiled, "That's right, do it and I hope you succeed. Call me if you need any help. We can do this in secret," he negotiated and then put his calling card on the table.

"What's your relationship with my sister?" I asked him curiously.

"Just," he paused. "Nothing, let's see each other again," he continued and suddenly bidding his goodbyes.

What was that?

I bottoms up and released a deep sighed. I don't know where I'm going to start but now that I just got a big hint, I should start thinking of a plan now.

Shin Tech Group, I'm coming for you.
