Chapter 5 - 5.0

The cat let an angry meow as if not wanting to be touched but Luna cooed it while she lifted it up to her arm .

"Don't worry Yongie-ah. I wont hurt you. Let's go in the kitchen. I'll cook something for both of us. I will buy you cat food after school but first let me feed you stir fried chicken." she said while going down the kitchen, still on her two piece since she live alone now.

Placing the cat in the counter, Luna proceeded into maneuvering her way to the kitchen in fast pace as if she became a different person in that area.

"Here you go, agi-ah." Luna beamed at the cat after giving its share to its plate. She also had her share and scoop some rice she only heated. Digging on her food, she nodded to the cat to taste the food now but it only regarded her with hostile glare.

"It's fine. I won't harm you. You're one distrustful tom cat are you?" Luna chuckled while gently pushing the plate in front of the cat. She actually let it above the table since she didn't want to eat alone again.

The cat had its head hovered above the plate, sniffing the food first before licking the sauce first.

Luna smiled when the cat started eating with much gusto as if it had been deprived of food for many days. She only stood up and placed a bowl of water beside the cat who actually meowed in anger when it thought that she will touch him again.

"It's just water, Yong. No need to get angry." Luna said.

The cat proceeded to eating again with distrustful eyes trained towards her.

"Aigoo. You feisty cat." Luna chuckled.

After a while, Luna had washed the dishes while setting aside the clean plate that Yong used. Luna then looked behind her.

"I'm gonna wear clothes in the room. Will you stay here for the moment?" she asked.

The cat didn't respond and looked around the house instead as if in investigation while Luna only smiled while she ran up the stairs unnoticed by the cat ushering her ass up the room again.

Not a while she got out the room with a casual clothing in jeans and Bennie on . She went into the kitchen and placed another food in the plate and placed it on the counter.

"If ever you got hungry, the food is here. Okay? I'll be out all day until afternoon. Okay?" Luna instructed to the cat while it was still silently looking at her idiotic smile. "I'm leaving now. Take care of the house."

The house became silent except for the purring of the cat who only regarded the closed door where she disappeared, with a contemplation. Its head then turned to the television in which the appliance suddenly turned on and had shown a specific channel. The cat then slowly strode towards it, jumping to the soft couch while its attention directed to the news of explosions from last night in one secret facility between the boarders of north and south Korea. It was built underground which stirred both nations into answering the probe from the national united leaders when it involved a hundred dead scientists, specialists and technicians.

The reporter kept on reporting on the camera but the cat only regarded the scene of unquenchable fire eating the facility down to its last splinters. Since last night, it was burning and no amount of water can unlit the fire until it ate the last bit of the facility. It was hell's fire and no earthy element can quenched it. Not one.

The cat wasn't even fazed when there occurred another explosion behind the female reporter making the scene a raw footage of fury. The place where the people who died there didn't deserve to live. The place where many of his kind died already due to several painful experiments. His crew. Where he was the only one left alive.

Later in the afternoon, Luna struggled her way in the door before placing the grocery bag she bought along her way.

"Whew!" Luna wiped her sweat and looked around the house. "Yong?" she called out and then smiled when the cat walked toward the door and regarded her in the same hostile eyes. "How are you, agi-ah? I bought some cat food for you." Luna walked in the kitchen and placed the bag of grocery in the counter and slowly unpacked the items.

She looked up when the cat jumped in the counter and watched what she was doing. Smiling, she showed him the cat food as well the cat bowl she bought. "Tah dah!"

Proceeding into opening the bag of cat food and placed it to the bowl, Luna then gently pushed it towards the cat.

"Go on, honey." Luna encouraged while the cat sniffed the food and not even as much as taste it as it readily clawed the bowl out the counter. Luna's mouth gaped at the thrown food in the floor before she looked at the cat who seemed to be unapologetic. "What on earth, Yong-ah? You don't like it?"

She inspected the cat food again and read that it had a slogan with 'a food which cat would love' in it. Luna show it to the cat and it actually meowed angrily at her.

"Okay. Okay. Wow, touche much?" Luna muttered and discarded the food down the bin and cleaned up the mess in the floor. It only took her a while before she prepared a slice of pork in the counter while marinating for few minutes before she proceeded into cooking a rice. When she saw the clean plate where she placed a food for the cat, she blinked in surprise.
