"Who would want to eat the cake I bake if not you, Dean-ah?"Mikael complained.
"Yah, Mikael. Monday, you give me some Ginger bread enough to supply me a month. Tuesday, you sent me another baked chocolate cookies that would last me probably two months. Then yesterday, you sent me tons of croissant bread which would last me three months and then today, you want me to freaking eat five layers cake you baked?"
"What is wrong with that? I'm just being sweet."
"Sweet? Oh gosh. Mikael, I'll die in hypertension, diabetes and I don't know, maybe heart attack before we get married. Are you trying to kill me?" Dean voiced out.
"Ohhh. Buddy, too much sugar can actually lead a man into diabetes then impotency." Sean reinforced.
Dean then turned to Mikael with 'see what I mean' look that made Mikael gasped.
"I didn't know." Mikael said. "I'm so sorry oppa."
Luna only remained a spectator to this everyday set up until each one of them would attend to their respective subjects since all of them will graduate on the same year.
In the afternoon, Luna gone home alone since Woonie had been very busy with his clubs. Being the star athlete and model student, he was being pushed and pulled to many clubs until exhaustion that it was surprising how he got by until he was already in fourth year in accountancy.
Reaching into a corner where the diner was located, she stopped briefly and saw on the door the paper she posted, announcing for the place's reopening this Saturday. She had prepared a lot in the sideline. Securing the chicken deliveries, soft drinks, fruits, condiments, porks and some mild beers which had been very tasking job and she commended how her grandma can managed such heavy labor without a sweat. She had also hired two service crew to assist her. Everything was all set.
Placing her hand to the glass door, Luna smiled in response.
"Let's make this place lively again, grandma." She said in low voice before she smiled widely.
On her house she had changed into a sleeper before getting in the house and gone over her room.
"Yongie-ah?" she called out but can't see the cat anywhere. She went about to the balcony and find it empty in there. "Where is that cat?"
Luna decided to change first before looking for the cat again. When she was about to step out the house, she found the cat in the kitchen counter who meowed at her.
"There you are. I thought you already left the house." Luna smiled and petted its head. "Are you perhaps hungry?"
The cat meowed.
"Okay. I'll prepare a snack for you before we have our dinner." Luna said going over the fridge. She decided to get the bowl of ground beef, threw some flour in there with eggs and some seasonings before frying them in a pan.
The cat just sat comfortably in the counter again while looking at her in noncommittal manner even if she was humming while she cooked.
Luna got out an apple juice from the fridge and poured some for her and for the cat .
"Try this while we wait. Cheers to you, agi-ah." Luna clicked her glass of juice to his own bowl of juice. The cat just snorted but drank the juice otherwise.
A few minutes later, they both had shared rolled balls of fried ground beef in the couch with large bottle of apple juice to down with it.
Luna was watching some random show in Arirang channel, munching over the food while her cat was on the other couch and had already finished its food. It jumped to the table infront of them to drink the apple juice on its bowl. When its done, it looked at Luna .
"Come to me, agi-ah." she gestured the cat above her lap but it only meowed at her as if in disagreement. "Aigoo, you cat. I want to cuddle you." Luna leaned over instead and unceremoniously lifted the cat on her arms despite its protest. She let it rest to her lap while petting its head. "It's okay, Yong-ah. I wont hurt you, honey." she assured in soft voice which actually calmed the cat.
Luna had already finished her meatballs and drank her juice before she realized it was time to prepare for their dinner. When she was about to stand up, she saw the peaceful face of the cat sleeping on top of her lap .
"Yong? Honey, I'm gonna prepare for dinner. Will you stand up for me please?" she asked in soft voice while caressing its head over and over again but it only meowed in low voice as if not wanting to move a muscle at all. "Okay, I'll just move you in the couch." Luna then scooped the cat up and gently placed it on the couch. After doing so, she grabbed all the utensils they'd used in the tables and went about to the kitchen. Placing them all the sink, Luna chose to wash it after their dinner and went to the fridge again to look for something to eat. Nevertheless, having feeling very much full she had no appetite for the dinner. She was about to went into the living when she was greeted with Yong in the kitchen counter who regarded her in sleepy eyes.
"Aigoo. You don't have to accompany me in the kitchen, honey." Luna approached the cat and petted it briefly. "How about we walk around the playground? I'm not feeling famish after our snack."
The cat meowed in response.
