Chereads / THE ENCHANTER BLACK PEARL (ENGLISH VERSION) / Chapter 14 - SEGAT THE THIEF CITY

Chapter 14 - SEGAT THE THIEF CITY

"Who are you?" Cried the father.

In the group, only the father had no magic, which was why he could still sigh of relief.

The death of his family made me realize that ingrained magic can take their lives.

"Hera, we should not linger in this place," said Black Pearl.

My footsteps began to move away from the father. I just left him without doing anything to him.

Footsteps began to approach me.

"Hera, behind you!" Lavanya shouted.

Jeb!

My palms started dripping with fresh blood. The stab of the knife that pierced between the bones of my finger continued to bleed. A little bit more. My eye might be pierced if the father was strong enough to swing the knife.

"Could you please stop this act of yours?!" I threatened him.

His body was shaking, and his teeth were shivering with fear; he dared to open his mouth.

"If there isn't one?! I also want to be with them—"

I quickly used black magic to destroy his body.

"A'!" they both said.

"Now you're with them there," I muttered.

Lavanya was silent and dumbfounded. I can feel the expressions of the two creatures in this body.

Like there's something wrong with me, but I don't find what's wrong with me at this time.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"South, that's where you'll find a village," replied the Black Pearl.

I quickly flew to the south. Thankfully I have mastered my wings properly, which made this trip quite interesting and fast.

I tried to fly above the clouds to hide my presence and facilitate the search with a broad view.

But my wings began to weaken as if something was missing.

Kruuk!

"Hehe."

"Hah!" They both took a deep breath.

"Is there a forest or river around here?" I asked Black Pearl.

"Of course not. Only dry meadows spread out around here," replied the Black Pearl.

"The only way is to find a settlement or village around here."

Long enough to pay attention to land without humans and animals living here. Finally, dusk began to greet us above the clouds.

"Looks like I'll have to spend the night hungry."

"Hera, look at that!" call Lavanya.

Dots of light began to appear from behind the clouds. When the clouds began to part, it turned out that a small town appeared in the middle of this dry meadow.

"Segat!" said Black Pearl.

I landed and kept my wings back.

"Hera, are you sure you want to wear this magic outfit?" asked Lavanya, who reminded me of my imitation of her appearance.

Although I'm very satisfied with Lavanya's outfit but... it's a shame to have to take it off.

"Do you want me to walk without a single cloth?" I mocked.

"Of course not, but if you want, it might be interesting," he joked with a light laugh.

There's a rock beside the path to the small town; I'm thinking of making use of it. I waited long enough for someone to pass by, and before long, a merchant-like but fierce-looking person would pass me.

"Is he a merchant?" I asked them both.

"From the looks of it, it doesn't look like it," answered Lavanya.

"Do you want to take the carriage away?" asked Black Pearl.

At first, I only planned to take away the clothes that might be in the horse carriage, but it looks like Black Pearl's idea isn't bad.

I crushed the pebbles around me while casting black magic. When we got close enough, I quickly threw the pebble under their horses.

"Aaah!" The merchants fell into the pit.

"How did you do it?" asked Black Pearl.

"I put your black magic on these small stones; when these pebbles touch the ground beneath them, the black magic will explode and make a hole under them," I replied arrogantly.

"Great! Looks like you're starting to understand my concept of magic," said Black Pearl.

I started to unpack the contents of the carriage.

"Okay, time to see what I can use. Trash, trash, oh! This will be quite helpful, and voila! Finally, a dress."

Inside the horse carriage, some items, such as shovels, hammers, and others, cannot be used. But besides all that there is a box containing clothes and some money that I can use in the future.

"Alright, this is my role!" I shouted.

"Are you sure?" asked the Black Pearl skeptically.

"Good, isn't it?" Hope they agree with me.

"Honey, are you going to play the blind man?" asked Lavanya, holding back a laugh.

"Do not laugh!" I'm annoyed.

"It's so funny not to laugh," Lavanya replied.

I slightly heard Black Pearl spit out a little spit from holding back laughter.

"Hmm!" I'm annoyed too.

I chose to get out of the hole and continued to advance toward the city gate.

"What's so weird about me?" I muttered.

A black wizard-worthy outfit, an eye patch, and a small bag that I brought from inside the carriage. Besides, I couldn't choose a proper outfit other than this.

It is quite eye-catching, given the Black Pearl. Even though my eyelids were closed, my vision didn't change when the magic filled my eyes.

While near the city gate, several people came fully armed and pointed their swords at me.

"Stop!" he shouted at me.

As they approached, I felt their foul aura toward women. They kept watching me with their dark eyes.

"Hoho, Boss, it seems like this is good stuff. The big boss must be happy," he said quietly.

They seem to be used to doing this depraved thing, judging by the words he doesn't hesitate to say in front of people who will become their victims.

"Keep your head up!" he asked.

"Hah!" said both of them, who were surprised to see me.

Then they waved to make sure I saw them. Of course, I played like a blind man without a cane.

"Is there something wrong?"

Lavanya snorted in boredom.

"Now ...! we just kill them, how? Black, do you agree?" Lavanya began to fuel this inappropriate state.

"Hmm, I do… okay!" replied black pearl.

"Yep, Hera! Kill them!" Lavanya shouted excitedly.

"Are you crazy?" I answered.

Then the two men responded to my words. With sharp gazes, they continued to look at me suspiciously.

"Did you say something?"

"Unlucky! What a Lava!" I thought.

In the end, they didn't think about it anymore.

"Come with us!" one of the men tied my wrists and dragged me into the city.

An unpleasant smell began to waft from the gate. When I passed it, I did not expect the city's state to be beyond what I imagined them to be.

A shabby house, trash-like decorations in this place, and lots of night butterflies running around naked while being chased by men.

"Since when did they become day butterflies?" my joke on the two beings within me.

They laughed at my jokes.

This city is completely free. No morals, no rules, and no cleanliness. But I didn't see a child in it.

As we passed the market, this thing took me by surprise. The Segat market is quite clean, but Segat people's dealings are unique. When I focused my hearing on one of the women who was shopping.

"I want to buy this and that," said the woman.

"How much can you pay?" asked the merchant.

I turned around and wondered what objects they would use for the transaction.

"If you give all this, I will give my body as payment," said the woman.

"Deals!" replied the merchant.

"Heeeh! Can't women pay what they want? What a sad city, I thought.

It's been a long time since I've followed these two young men. until he arrived at a second gate in the city.

"Open!" one of them shouted.

"What's the matter?" another man poked his head above the gate.

"I brought lunch for the Boss!" While pointing at me.

"Food? What does he think I am?" I thought, annoyed.

After a long debate, they finally opened the jumbo wooden gate. A wide field immediately greeted us, filled with children practicing swords, spears, and archery.

While beside him, several girls followed them, fewer of them than the boys.

"What exactly is this place?"
