Chapter 18 - MY PARTNER

Whoosh!

I flapped my wings as high as possible, breaking through the black clouds. I floated my body in the middle of the soft cold clouds.

The rain crystals started to melt, and I started casting black spells within the clouds. The color is getting darker, and none of the rain crystals aren't tainted by my black magic.

"I hope this will work."

"You'd better get out of this clump of clouds," Black Pearl pleaded.

We slowly emerged from the cloud and plunged straight into the city wall. I obliterated the soil around the city to form a large ditch quite deep.

The horses began to neigh loudly and began to go crazy.

A roar of fear boomed throughout the city.

"Rain!"

Raindrops began to fall. When the raindrops hit the buildings and their clothes were all destroyed.

"Miss witch, help us! We will obey you; don't put this curse on us!" shouted the residents who were pushing each other, begging me for forgiveness.

"When goodness has turned black, when lies and cruelty have turned white, where were you then. Opportunities do not come twice and truly greedy humans only think about themselves while living but never consider how their lives will end. Then taste what you sow."

Hurriedly The Fat came. He immediately kowtowed to me the soldiers too.

"Please stop all this! I will pay you with all my wealth! I promise there will be no more oppression and cruelty in this country!" loudly to me.

I just smiled at the sight of a tyrannical ruler who still wanted to save his life with a small fortune.

"No thanks, I have already received your payment this time!"

With shining eyes, he hoped.

"What's that?" asked the Tambun.

"Your souls!" With a big smile, I threw at them.

It rained heavily. Every drop of water destroys anything it touches, and blood begins to flow on the ground's surface. Still, the ground hit by the rain also became damaged and shattered, submerging the entire Segat area and leaving only one person I protected with the power of Lavanya.

After it was over, only the big hole was left in their bodies. Which were swallowed by the earth, and now Segat has become a legend.

"I didn't expect you to use this strange trick; isn't this a Genius?" said Black Pearl.

"I also didn't expect the power of the rain to exceed my expectations."

"So what are you going to do with that handsome guy?" asked Lavanya.

Timothy looked sadly at me and waved in the magic capsule.

When I opened the capsule. "Hold my hand!"

Then he took my hand and held it close to my chest; I quickly took him away.

After 3 hours of traveling, we finally found a clean river and some shady apple orchards.

The fresh scent of nature stopped my wings, and I decided to rest there.

"Wow! This is the perfect place to rest."

"You're right, but who planted all this?" asked Timothy.

I just shrugged my shoulders and dipped my feet.

"Very delicious!" Timothy just looked at me.

"Come here!" I asked.

Then he complied and did the same to his leg. We sighed in unison, listening to the river's gentle flow make sleep come to me.

Once satisfied, I lay down on the river bank and began to enjoy deep sleep.

"Hera, can I ask you something?"

I glanced sharply at him.

"Eh, don't worry, I won't bring up what happened earlier," he added nervously.

"Just tell me," I said.

"What have you been looking for all this time?" asked Timothy.

I quickly turned around and said softly to both of them.

"Can I tell him?"

"Um, what do you think?" asked the Black Pearl to Lavanya.

"It seems fine given the current situation. Won't he guide us to find our brother?" Lavanya replied.

"Okay," I whispered.

"I was looking for this." I pointed my forehead right at the green gem.

With a curious face, he brought his face close to his lips, almost touching mine.

"Hera, why is your heart beating so fast?" sneered Black Pearl.

"Hmm…" Lavanya added, which made my brain spin.

My mind was confused with things I'd never done without realizing it. When Timothy was in that position, I held my breath.

"Oh, this is really interesting. May I touch it?" asked Timothy again.

I just nodded. "If you want, you can kiss it." that's what's on my mind right now.

The calm wind went nowhere. The situation around me was boiling, making my skin like boiled shrimp.

The moment his finger touched the quartz.

"Ah!" I accidentally let out a small sigh from my lips.

"Eh?!" said Timothy confused.

"It seems ... I should not touch it again," said Timothy as he turned his face away.

"Fiut-fiut...!" The whistling sound of the Black Pearl made my face even redder.

"Are you okay?" asked Timothy without turning his face to me.

I looked down in embarrassment and said, "I'm fine."

Then our conversation was closed by the silence of our lips.

"I'd better sleep for now," I thought.

I took a comfortable position and began to clear my consciousness without thinking about the matter again.

The smell of meat began to waft and dispel my sweet dream. Lela's hunger reigned so that she could beat sleepiness; it turned out that Timothy was cooking something while grinding a piece of meat over a fire.

"Hmm!" I squirmed and moaned with a slight blink of an eye to fully regain consciousness.

"Why didn't he run from me?" I asked Lavanya.

"It seems his feelings for you are exactly the same as yours," Lavanya replied.

"Don't joke," I snapped.

"Then why did he go to the trouble of hunting down and serving you food?" asked Lavanya.

"Hera, we don't forbid love between you, but what you need to realize is that all of that will disappear—" Timothy cut Black Pearl's words.

"How was your sleep?" asked Timothy.

"Quite comfortable," I replied.

Without hesitation, he knelt down and served me food.

"Eating this will make you calmer," he said.

After enjoying the dish he served, I felt he wanted to say something, but he hesitated to take action judging from his body demeanor.

"Say!" My sarcasm.

"Erm, why do the magicians call you an Enchanter?" asked Timothy.

I'm also confused about answering Timothy's question. Involuntarily my face scrunched up.

"If you don't want to say it's fine," he said when he saw my face.

I smiled wryly at him and turned my face toward the bowl I was holding. That morning was filled with thick awkwardness that neither of us could say anything to start the conversation.

The morning breeze began to devour the warmth of the bonfire. In the sun, our shadows were clearly visible from behind our backs.

"It's a beautiful morning, isn't it?" asked Timothy, trying to lighten the mood.

"You're right; this morning is quite beautiful, but at that time, the beauty will disappear as a ship swallowed by a storm," I replied calmly while leaning my back against the apple tree.

"I wish I didn't have this choice," I moaned.

Timothy only looked at me.
