Tyson after having his mask tossed away could not move. Standing in complete silence in front of Chi his head slowly tilted downward. He could feel the man nervously shaking between him and the boulder as he waited for Tyson's reaction. Although he found what Chi had done to be highly irritating he could not help but find the scared look on his face almost alluring at the same time. His emotions felt conflicted beyond his own belief.
"Tyson?" Chi asked quietly when he realized Tyson wasn't going to say anything first. He could see the strange look in Tyson's eyes as he tried to ponder everything over.
"Forget it. It's lost now. I'm used to it at this point." Tyson replied to him. His voice almost seemed to crack a bit. He knew that he had to leave quickly before he did something further that he would regret later. Leaning back to leave, however, his actions were halted by the warm grasp of Chi's hand around his wrist.
"I'm sorry.." Chi uttered out as he knew his actions were rash and probably even a bit mean. He had never thought of how Tyson might have felt. It was just impossible for him to accept that Tyson would wear something that came from Numen when he was the one who had brought them to the garden.
"Forget it. I told you it's already lost by now. There is no way that it's anywhere close by with that current." Trying to get the man to drop the topic he couldn't realize the own rise in his voice until he had already spoken. After raising his voice at Chi he could only feel a sudden wash of regret for his action. He had never meant to raise his voice at the man.
"Maybe we can get it back some how?" Chi hated the idea of seeing that thing with Tyson but if it meant correcting his wrong he was willing to help him go get it back. Not liking the idea of Tyson being angry with him he did not know what else to offer the man. The look in Tyson's eyes was conflicted.
"You want to make it up to me?" Tyson laughed slightly under his breath at the crazy idea. The demonic mask had long been washed away by the current and yet Chi was desperate to help him so he would not be angry with him. He could not imagine Chi getting very far in finding the mask with such a situation. If he did not show the man he wasn't going to hold a grudge he was worried Chi might dive right in and get washed away with the mask as well.
"Yes!" Chi shouted his answer with determination. He was ready for whatever task Tyson would throw at him if it meant he would not hold a grudge. Of all the people around him Tyson was the one person he hated the idea of hurting the most. As long as it was something that would make the man feel better he was willing to do what he could for him.
Sighing heavily Tyson moved to the boulder where Chi stood. Putting his back to it he slid his way down until he was sitting on the rocky ground against it. With a confused Chi staring down at him he grabbed the man's purple sleeve and pulled him down onto the ground with him. Chi did not have time to react before he was being pulled down. Tyson did not stop with Chi sitting flat, he pulled him downward until he was flat on his back. With Chi's face on Tyson's lap the man stared up at him with a confused expression.
"Wh-What are you doing?" Chi asked him as his face flushed from embarrassment. Feeling the warmth from Tyson's lap below his head he could not control the rate of his heart.
"If you want to make it up to me just rest here a while, my little rabbit." Tyson stroked Chi's soft hair casually. His fingers gently caressing the pink hairband that tied a part of Chi's hair to his front. Knowing well that what he was doing was not what Chi meant it was the only way he thought to calm the man. He did not want Chi to lose sleep over worrying about him when he was suppose to be resting for the next part of their trip up the mountain.
"That's not what I meant at all.." Chi felt frustrated that Tyson had completely ignored the actual meaning behind his words.
"You wanted to make it up to me and this is what I chose. You're not allowed to talk." Tapping gently on Chi's forehead in order to make sure the man was paying attention to his words. Knowing well that Chi had no reason to object to his request the man could only listen to him and remain quiet where he was.
It did not take long for Chi to loose his consciousness once he had lay down. The feeling of Tyson stroking his hair had pushed what little energy he had been forcing himself to keep right away. Sounds of his breathing were all that remained as Tyson continued to play with his hair long after he was safely asleep. It felt strange having Chi so close to him and yet he could not help but enjoy the feeling of it.
He's blushing even in his sleep.. Tyson could not help but take note of the fact that Chi's face still held onto that embarrassed flush of his as he slept. Everything about it seemed cute to him and made it feel almost impossible not to want to tease him.
Tracing his thumb carefully across the flushed color in Chi's cheeks he gazed down at the man. Careful not to wake him as he leaned forward until his mouth was beside Chi's ear. His warm breath caused strands of Chi's sandy hair to fall away before he whispered into the ear of the sleeping man.
"Little rabbit, one day I may just end up eating you." Holding a tenderness to his voice that was not usually there Tyson smiled after he whispered to him. Knowing well that the man was asleep and not able to hear what he'd said.
Leaning back against the boulder where he sat Tyson began to close his own eyes. He could hear the sounds of the water rushing past them as his own mind began to fade. Sensations of warmth radiating from the man on his lap seemed to relax him more then he had realized. It had been a long time since he had fallen asleep so easily.
