Chapter 43 - Chapter 43

Tyson looked in the iron bar window at Fae. Biting his tongue for a moment at saying anything to Chi he turned to the man and held tightly onto his shoulders. Looking his directly in the eyes before he spoke. He could feel how nervous the man got from his action but he needed him to listen to him seriously.

"Wait outside the room for me. Do not move from this spot. I'll go get him but I must do it alone. I can't take care of you while I try and get him to snap clean from whatever is happening to him from Mirror's Edge." Tyson's voice never wavered in the slightest as he spoke. He meant every word seriously that he spoke to Chi. It was not that he worried for the sake of Chi's safety but simply that he did not want the man to worry over Fae more by witnessing the state of the vampire.

Chi did not have any room for arguing over Tyson's words. Nodding in agreement he could only wait outside as the man opened the door to the stone walled room and went inside. Door slamming behind him as he went inside. Chi was not able to hear what was going on inside the room. He could only stand there like he had agreed to and wait alone with the little usher on top of his head. Debating on taking a peak through the bar window he shook his head. Tyson had told him clearly not to move so he bit back the urge.

"So this is the state you've fallen to? I thought you'd be stronger then this, Fae." Tyson said to the vampire as he slowly walked across the room in his direction.

His short black hair flipping slightly, Fae flipped his head around in Tyson's direction. His red eyes slit instantly at the sight of him. Fangs bared he shot in Tyson's direction in attempt to sink his fangs right into the man. His black jacket making noise in the wind from how quickly he'd moved. Just before he could manage to get his fangs into Tyson the man was already tightly holding onto Fae's neck in order to hold him back.

"Sorry, but I prefer to be the one doing the biting." Tyson said to him as he slammed his knee roughly into Fae's stomach.

Wincing from the knee's hit Fae found himself being slammed into the ground. Tyson pinning him down by the throat as he leaned down to him. Fae's mind was so confused that he couldn't think straight. His red slit eyes glaring at the man above as he desperately wanted to sink his fangs in to him and drain him dry. Regardless of how badly he wanted to end the man, Tyson's voice remained calm as he spoke.

"Are you really going to do something stupid and leave Chi to fend for himself completely?" Tyson could see a faint waver in the eyes of the stubborn vampire. He knew that Chi was his weak point even if he hadn't wanted to admit it himself.

"If you want to kill me that badly, go ahead.. But seriously consider what will happen. You'll be trapped here still and he'll be left alone." Tyson's grip began to loosen on Fae's neck.

Swallowing hard, Fae glared up at Tyson. Feeling the grip on his neck leave he lunged forward. Fangs sinking deep into Tyson's neck as his body slammed against him. Tyson did not fight him back in the slightest. As he felt Fae's fangs release from him he could smell the iron from his own blood as it dripped down onto him.

BAM!

Fae fist punched the ground right beside Tyson's head.

"Are you an idiot?! You wont even fight back?!" Fae shouted at him so loud that Tyson was worried Chi might here them.

"I know you hate me. But I know you'd never do anything that would bring harm to him. If you're done wallowing in whatever this is.. we need to go." Tyson said as he sat up. Fae fell to the side on his back and just lay there motionless while staring at the ceiling.

"You don't get it at all do you?" Fae asked him without moving from his spot. Grinding his teeth together his fangs caused his own lip to bleed.

"I get it.. you're afraid of being alone. Why would I not recognize something like that?" Tyson climbed to his feet and looked around at the stone room. It was the only thing that made sense to him for why Fae was always so jealous of him. He could put it together easily long ago.

"I'm not! If you tell him something like that I'll really kill you!" Fae declared as he jumped to his feet and bared his fangs at Tyson. There was no way he wanted something so embarrassing about him to come out. After living for hundreds of years in his own world he'd experienced losing people again and again over the centuries. Eventually it'd hit him to the point he'd started to fear the idea of becoming alone and forgotten. It had been fused in the back of his mind.

"I wont tell him your little secret. It's none of my business but if you don't come out soon I think he'll get even more worried." Tyson said as he pointed to the door. He did not really care whether or not the vampire was scared to be alone. The only thing on his mind was getting their move on so that they could get out of the mirror. Tyson was not the sort to speak of other's personal matters so he had no interest in explaining a thing regardless.

"Right.." Fae responded as he started to follow behind Tyson.

"For the record.. you're not alone. So stop acting paranoid. He cares about you because you're his friend, right?" Tyson spoke over his shoulder as he paused for a moment. "I'll never intentionally leave you behind either."

As they both left the room they found Chi standing where Tyson had told him to. The blue eyes of the man lit up instantly at the sight of both of them coming out. Flinging himself against Tyson and Fae excitedly as he hugged both of them at the same time. He had been so worried about both of them that he could not hold himself back. While the man was excitedly embracing them the both of them could not help but awkwardly nod in agreement to not ruin Chi's mood by saying a word of what had happened in the room.
