Leading the three of them down a long hallway one of King Sobek's knights showed them all to their rooms. Intending on them to remain until Zeal arrived with the rest of the people that would aid in the revolt against Numen. Tyson could not understand the king's mindset so he could only keep himself on guard. Entering his room he could see his decorated in ancient markings that were unknown to him. King Sobek must have had a thing for nature because even the plants from outside grew upward as vines with flowers on them had grown straight in from the window. Loosing himself to the surroundings he did not even notice as Chi stepped into his room behind him.
"King Sobek doesn't seem so bad.." Chi said as he walked over to Tyson where he stood. Noticing the plants coming in from the window. One of the small yellow flowers blooming instantly once his eyes connected with it.
"I'm going to take a look around this place. If Zeal is really coming here I must get a grasp of this place before they arrive." Tyson said as he began to head for the door. Standing still in the door he slowly turned his head over his shoulder at a sudden thought, not wanting to leave Chi on his own, as he spoke. "You coming?"
"Yes!" Chi shouted his answer as he darted after Tyson. Following him closely behind as they headed down the hallway. He did not feel a need to worry about King Sobek because he felt as though the king was a good man even if he seemed a bit different. Understanding why Tyson would feel at guard against the king he did not complain. Whether King Sobek was a bad man or not they would find out in the end. For now he simply wanted to enjoy the things around him.
Wandering around the castle they could see the ten foot knights standing tall all around the place. It was hard to catch a glimpse of a place they did not stand guard. King Sobek did not allow his castle's security to be dim in any corner. Heading outside from the back of the castle it opened up wide into a massive garden. Flowers blooming far as the eye could see til the castle garden connected with the lining of trees from Numen's Garden. It almost felt as if the two gardens were completely separate though Tyson knew it was only a difference in terrain.
"Hey! Look!" Chi shouted as he darted off towards an underground fountain.
Water shooting up into the air as if it was dancing. Small blue orbs from wandering spirits floated around it as if they too wished to dance about clear fresh the water. Tyson could only stand and watch in silence as the man tried to catch the clear water in the palm of his hands. Pacing himself over as he stood back just far enough to keep himself from getting wet as he watched Chi.
"You're going to get ill if you stand in the water like that." Tyson tried to scold the man but he was not listening to a word he spoke. Feeling uneasy at the thought of Chi getting himself sick by playing in the castle's fountain he stepped forward. Grabbing hold of Chi's arm as he pulled him out of the cold fountain's water.
"Wh-What?" Chi asked as he tried to understand what was going on. His body being pulled quick against Tyson's. Face flushing red he gazed up into Tyson's golden eyes where they stood.
"Little rabbits aren't meant to play in cold water. You'll catch something and I wont be the one taking care of you." Tyson said as he stared down into Chi's blue eyes. The little usher on top of Chi's head chirping cheerfully for a moment before hopping down and darting away. Shaking it's fur dry as it glanced back at them.
"I'm not a rabbit. I won't get sick." Chi glared at him feeling slightly annoyed that he would assume he was so weak to get sick by the cold water. He had only wanted to enjoy the moment while he had it. There was no telling when they would get another chance to relax again.
Keeping his hold on Chi's arm he pulled him in close and hoisted him over his shoulder like he had when they first met, carrying him along with him further out into the castle's flower garden. Chi did not have the strength to refuse even if he had wanted to. Being dragged along by Tyson over the man's shoulder with his rear end in the air he could only silently go along with him til he was being tossed carefully onto his back next to a flower bed under the warm red light of the sky above.
"Ou-ouch!" Chi said as he slowly sat up with squinted eyes only to find Tyson flopping onto the grass himself beside him. He did not know what Tyson was doing but the man only closed his eyes as he lay there beside Chi. "What was that for?"
"Stay in the light and dry yourself off." Tyson stated as he kept his eyes closed. Not looking in Chi's direction he could hear the man grumbling under his breath slightly at being told to remain still. The last thing he wanted was to see Chi catch his his own death by getting ill because of the fountain's cold water.
Flopping back onto the grass Chi turned onto his side and gazed at the side of Tyson's face. He knew that Tyson would not let him up even if he tried for it til he was no longer dripping from the cold water. Staring at the side of Tyson's face he felt the sudden desire to reach out and touch him. His fingertip just barely brushing against Tyson's temple. At the sensation of Chi's touch Tyson's eyes flicked open as he turned his gaze over to the man beside him. A heavy pounding in Chi's chest began the moment his eyes locked with Tyson's.
"Sometimes I wonder what goes through that mind of yours, little rabbit." Tyson said to Chi as he watched a warm flush begin to coat the man's face. Everything about the way the man was looking at him felt warm and inviting to him. No matter how many times he saw that look on Chi's face it always seemed to pull him in.
