I broke a big shell of the Ginormous tarantula and stored the stuff I was able to get. All the Mana crystals, Magic crystals, Mana Cores, beast's valuable stuffs, etc.
By the time I went to the dungeon's entrance, the huge rock Mr.Blue Grim used to lock me up was taken away, as Mr.Blue grim waiting outside for me with the water pouch.
"It seems you succeeded kid!" He smiled and said as he took a look at the huge shell and all the materials I was carrying.
"Yes sir! It was certainly, how to put it...Painfully fun!"
Today's battle with the boss confirmed a lot of things for me. I'd spent too much time adjusting to and learning this world's magic system. Always manipulating mana, honing my elemental Attributes techniques along with all of the other elements.
I had been so engrossed in the fact that this world made it capable of actually producing physical manifestations of elements that I neglected my foundations, the very thing I was best at, which was physical combat.
In my past life, I had no magic as the world was ordinary and I usually used the simplest techniques to utilize the most of my energy along with training my physique, and knowledge in each missions. With that and I raised to the top, even it was for a tool for killing.
This place offered so many more possibilities but if I was to truly excel and become the best in this world, I was going to have to not only use my gifts in this life, but my experiences from my previous life.
In the positive side, I got to awaken two extra elemental attributes for my magic. It seems my physique has improved as well. Hmm, but the sword I was carrying broke into pieces, when I took it after the battle with the boss.
Well, its just a sword after all, I can buy or get some other elsewhere. On second thought, I have to learn craftsmanship to create guns, and the other things I can produce. Its just a cheat, but growing only strong does not have any use. I should use my brain and my brans to raise to the top.
I slowly walked out of the dungeon.
The chirps of birds, occasional cries and roars of beasts, and the constant sound of water flowing filling the background all created an enticing symphony of nature.
"Take rest first! Give me those things, I will store it for you in the spatial storage!"
Blue Grim said as he started storing all the things I brought back from the dungeon clearing, and he gave me the water pouch for drinking.
"Did I pass your test?" I asked him confidently.
"You Certainly Did Kiddo! Come sit here!"
I took a sip of the crisp air and gulped down the water from the water pouch. We walked over a few distance and it seemed Blue Grim had already prepared the camp for us.
It seems to have already late at evening, we were at a small clearing. Surrounded by trees, there was a small field of grass with a stream of clear water flowing through it. Well, not to mention the Dungeon I just cleared was behind us.
"Kiddo, We'll camp out here for a few days," Blue Grim announced as he took out a couple of items.
"Weren't finished?" I asked him.
He simply shook his head, picking up a few branches of wood and gathering them together.
I went into the forest, finding some decent-sized branches to make a fire with. After a bit, we had a fire crackling and popping in the middle of our camp. Making myself comfortable, I sat near blue grim, next to the fire.
"So, Kid I told you not to concentrate on collecting stuff in there right?" Blue Grim asked me with a small laugh.
"Ah, that...its just I did everything quickly and while comming back, I saw all the stuff lying. I was the one who killed that beasts after all, and with the heart of an adventurer who cleared a dungeon, I collected them in the Boss's shell!"
I can't possibly say him that I did this all for money.
"Right! You did huh? Heart of an adventurer! hahahaha" Blue grim started to laugh again.
Well, in all these time of travel, today was the day he smiled or laughed this much.
"Okay Okay...Stop making fun of me sir!"
It was really embarrassing for me though.
"Fine Fine. Kid I still can't believe you just cleared a B ranked dungeon all alone!" he said.
It was a B ranked dungeon? not A?
"Its just luck I guess!"
"Luck eh? I just hope you have luck in all the tests you take."
That's expected at the least. After all, the whole continent is protected in the shadows with the council of assassins.
I just wish I get in the council, but I don't want to obey them. I just want to see the true work they do. If not, I will kill them all with my bare hands. After all, being an assassin is not something to play with, at least not with using the phrase like "Protecting the peace" or shit like that.
Huh, If they do say those things, they are more like knights than assassins.
"Sir, now that my first test is over and I passed it, what will be my second test?"
I asked Blue grim curiously.
"Hmm that's a good question!" Blue Grim said as he started to think.
Why is he thinking like he is the one assigning the tests for me?
"Well, what is it?"
"Kid, you have to grow strong. Until you become twelve years old!"
He paused for a bit and continued with an "Erhm!"
"Your Second Test is....The Test of Patience"
