Chapter six.
Aiden.
A few hours gone before the slaves arrived to the city. I got excited just thinking about what awaited me on the women's carriage. The night was quickly falling, twilight approaching from the west.
I sat on the iron throne in my Castle adjoining the largest pack house, alone, waiting. Being an Alpha king has proven to be more easier than I'd thought as a child. But on some other point of view, it was life threatening but being the one with the power, you could do any and everything. The thought makes me smile.
I knew my father wouldn't have let me sit on this throne. I couldn't care less about his death. That night....
He was a weak Alpha. When the city got invaded he did nothing. I could only say he deserved his death. An Alpha should never sit unprepared for anything, an alpha should never lose guard. An Alpha should always see the war coming and that is the only way to be powerful. My people feared me and I loved the fear I imposed on them.
The large doors squeaked open and Azura walked in, her leather pants clinging on the right places as she swayed her hips towards me. Azura was the leader of my personal team warriors. She was a woman, a strong woman who fought even more than a couple of the men around here did.
She feared nobody and if given the chance, she wouldn't bow to me like she needed to. Her intimidating height was a thing of admiration, her black hair always kept short above her shoulders, the right side falling over the left side of her face.
Azura was a beautiful woman who has fought beside me for as long as I could remember. Her loyalty was one to be recognized better and in some cases never to be questioned.
She bows her head as she stops at the foot of my throne, her face turned up towards me.
" We brought back the slaves, Alpha, " she said hastily " but we received a note from the watch men outside the city and you need to attend to it," she points a folded paper in front of me " the council is waiting for you "
Just then, the door pushed open again and I looked up to see one of the maids walking in, another smaller yet tall woman walking beside her. The maid has her hand folded securely around the other black haired woman's back whose face was buried down, making it impossible for me to see her face.
I watched them make their way forward and stopped in line with Azura.
The maid bows before saying, " She's ready, Alpha "
I shifted in my seat, my eyes going over the black haired woman's body. I recognized her now. She was the woman I'd seen earlier at the pack we invaded. She was beautiful, I wondered what she was made of.
" Take her in " I told the maid, waving a hand at them. The maid started to walk her towards my chambers, Azura's eyes following them as they went. I rose to my feet in an attempt to follow them.
" Alpha Aiden," Azura's call stops me and I looked down at her " you need to be at this council meeting. It's important "
I sensed anger and impatience in her words and her eyes said it all. She always hated it when I slept with women around the castle. It ignited this anger in her and I get it. She's a female warrior, she's bound to feel rational at all times.
" That can wait " I replied with a half smile before retreating back into my room.
I walked into the dimly lit room, the white curtains giving the room a foreboding mood about what was about to happen here, what always happens here.
The Slave girl stood facing the wall beside my king sized bed, her clothed back facing me. I watched her for a while, Wondering what was going through her mind. Did she know what I was about doing to her and was thinking of ways to beg for me to stop or even try to run away? The thought of her begging for my mercy turned me on instantly and I smiled widely. She should know better. I get what I want, whenever I want it. I always get any woman that I want inspite of their pleas.
" Turn around, wolf " I commanded.
Slowly, she turns around to me, her face still buried down. I could sense her fear, felt her shudder in her long blue dress.
" Look at me when I'm in front of you " I threatened.
She quickly looks up, her eyes meeting mine for a split second before she lowered her gaze again. There's nothing special there. Surely, I wasn't hoping for a miracle spark to happen there, wasn't hoping she'd be my mate.
" Get over here, " I groaned, annoyed " I don't like to talk too much "
She takes a few light steps and stopped right in front of me. I pulled off my shirt, causing her to gasp and look up at me. She knew what was coming. I reached for her shoulder and yanked a sleeve down her shoulder.
" Stop " she said shakily but it was a useless plea, fear and weakness in her eyes.
The sight of her in front of me made my heart pound merrily, her fear fueling my fires. Yes, that is how it should be.
Leaning closer into her face, I whispered in her ear, " it's not time for you to beg me, wolf "
I grabbed her waist before she could digest what I just said, spun her back to me and yanked her dress down her shoulders before bending her over, her hands slapping the end of the bed to hold her still.
