Cynthia was a firm believer of the saying that goes: some things are better left unsaid.
She kept her eyes on the road, not really sure whether she wanted to hear him explaining that exact part of the events that unfolded to her or not. It wasn't like an explanation was going to change what had happened in the morning, and it wasn't like an explanation was going to change the outcome of that either.
Dimitri still gave her an offer that she needed to consider, she had promised him that much, and regardless of the reason behind why George said what he said. The opportunity to take her burden off of his shoulder or at least a part of it wasn't something that occurred every single day.
Getting re-married was a golden opportunity to solidify Cynthia's chances of getting custody in the battle for John and burn her ex's heart at the same time. It really didn't matter who it was that the contract was signed under, it was just a name.
