The swordsmen were running. Doosh doosh.
"Are you going to tell me who you are?" Shikura asked.
"Forgive me. My name is Hanzo Ritoshi and I work for Yokoyama."
"That guy? Why?"
"We swordsmen have to make a living somehow. I am Yokoyama's servant, he was concerned about you suspecting him about Ms. Murai's and Mr. Tatekawa's murders, so he asked me to spy on you."
Suddenly, Sakume and Ritoshi stopped.
"Spy on me? How long have you been doing that?"
"Ever since you made that visit to Yokoyama."
"What? I didn't notice anyone watching me at all!"
"Hmmm. This is what I get paid to do."
Sakume scratched his head. "Well, I see you're good at what you do. But why help me now?"
"Because as a swordsman, and I have my principles. Even those of us who may seem morally corrupt still have our honor code. I may work for Yokoyama, but I am personally against what he does. I know that you alone cannot take on Dracula, so I have come here to help you out of my own free will. I can't stand by while a fellow swordsman is having trouble."
"Well I'll be damned; I should take you out to lunch sometime."
"Sushi would be nice."
Dracula showed up, with Faith as a hostage. His arm was around her neck, and holding a knife, pointing close to her neck. "Not a step further, detective, and his ninja friend. Otherwise the woman gets it." Faith feared for her life. Her eyes focused on the knife.
Sakume grunted. "Let her go."
"Not a chance, detective." he said. "This is such a good chance to pass by. So this is your woman, eh? She's a very good specimen...and her blood is delicious."
Tears drip from Faith's eyes. "Help me...please..."
Dracula sank his face into her hair, smelling it, and put his nose and mouth on her neck. "Mmmm..." Then her shoulder. "Such wonderful skin."
Sakume's fists were boiling. "Stop it, you freak."
Ritoshi put his arm in front of Sakume. "He's trying to get you angry."
Dracula's hand grabbed Faith in the breasts. He squeezed it like a ball. Then his hand went to her thigh, and went up the ribbons. Faith groaned. "Ugh!! Uhhh!"
Ritoshi: "Don't fall for it!"
Dracula grabbed Faith's chin and kissed her lips. Sakume's blood was boiling now. Dracula's hand went all over her body. He took out a bite on her neck. Schleb. Faith groaned in pain. "AAAAHHH!!! AHHHH!"
This is the last straw. He charged. Dracula pushed Faith into Sakume, then kicked. Faith took the hit. Thud. They fell down, with Faith on top.
"Faith, are you ok?"
Faith moaned.
Ritoshi attacked the vampire.
Faith opened her eyes. "Sakume... I thought you'd never come" she said in tears. She's been waiting for this day for a long, long time.
"Of course I'll come for you. Sorry it took so long." Sakume replied.
"A little help please." Ritoshi said as he dodged a fist.
"Right on it!" Sakume charged.
They kept on fighting. Dracula's physical stamina was clearly superior to that of an average person.
Sakume: "Alright, vampire, this little game of yours is over!"
Ritoshi: "I concur."
Dracula: "Hahahaha. You worthless mortals, you think you can actually defeat me, the lord of vampires?"
Sakume and Ritoshi powered up at the same time. Energies flowed through their body, even on their swords.
Dracula: "Grrr, show me you can do, mortal!" He rushed at them.
Sakume swings his blade, followed by Ritoshi by a split second. The two shockwaves hit Dracula, and he screamed agonizingly before he vanished.
"AAAAAAGH! NOOOO!"
Both warriors panted for breath. "It's over, right?"
"That is correct." Ritoshi replied. "Individually we were no match for him. It is our cooperation that allowed us to triumph."
"Thank you for your help, Mr. Ritoshi. I appreciate it."
"No problem. Think of it as a warrior's favor."
"Allow me to treat you to lunch sometime."
"Perhaps."
Faith was still kneeling on the floor, with one hand over her chest. She was in disbelief that the vampire is dead. She had been trapped in this place for God knows how long, it felt like an eternity, and it's all over now.
Now that Dracula is dead, what happens now? All the victims whom were still alive, trapped in the coffins were freed and returned to their respected homes. As for the cowboys, they were sent to ten years in prison for various crimes, which they pled guilty to.
Faith can finally spend some quality time with her loved one, Sakume. Speaking of which, the detective solved a big case, and he got great recognition. And he's still one of Mistle Town's most brilliant detectives. More importantly, Sakume learned a lesson, vampires do exist. This event raised his belief level.
The first second Sakume stepped into the office, everyone cheered. The wine bottles popped and colored paper fell from the ceiling. Everyone cheered and congratulated the detective on a job well done. Sakume blushed and smiled the whole time.
Hirata: "Congratulations on your accomplishment. You've solved yet another big case."
Sakume: "Thanks."
"But this time you were wrong about one thing."
"Yes, yes, I know. Vampires are real."
Inside Sakume's mansion, inside the big, empty bedroom, someone was standing there.
The curtains blew constantly. Faith stared at the window, gazing at the sky.
Merla came in. "Ms. Faith."
"Oh hey, Merla. What's up?"
"I am thankful you are safe. I've been worried about you."
"I'm fine."
"But no one worried about you more than Mr. Sakume. He was so frantic about finding you he couldn't sleep."
"Really?"
"Yes. I don't blame him, though."
Faith smiled and looked at Merla warmly. "I'm just glad...this is all over."
The End
