It wasn't long before they arrived at the building they'd left four hours earlier.
Ciri was puzzled to see them again so soon. But there was no way she didn't notice Alpha. Her appearance radiated a majestic aura that could be felt just by standing near her. Therefore, everyone inside the building immediately looked at her as soon as she entered.
Yashito went near Ciri and explained the situation to her. It was the same as Aeryn's, so Ciri knew exactly what to do.
She instructed them to follow her into a room for the strength evaluation. But it wasn't the same as Aeryn's. This time it was a room that connected the building to the tower.
To avoid further damage, Ciri decided to conduct the test in a dungeon. It was a C-rank dungeon, so there was nothing for her to worry about. She'd Yashito and Aeryn with her in case Alpha needed help.
But Aeryn and Yashito weren't worried at all. They'd seen Alpha's true power, and she could take on an entire S-rank dungeon by herself. A C-rank was just a warm-up training.
Alpha listened to everything Ciri said to her and just casually walked in.
"I'll say it'll take her a minute to finish," Yashito said to Aeryn.
But Aeryn had already seen Alpha's power better than Yashito.
"I'd say five seconds!" Aeryn exclaimed.
"Five seconds? Aren't you overestimating her a little too much?"
"Nah, you'll see." Aeryn replied with a smile.
Indeed, as soon as Alpha entered, she found herself in a landscape that looked like a desert. She didn't need to look for the monsters. She simply raised her right hand, and a shower of light rays fell from the sky, killing everything that was there. After that, the desert looked as if there had been a nuclear explosion there. The sand had turned into glass because of the high temperature.
As casually she walked in, she came out of there with the same way. And it seemed that Aeryn had won the bet.
"What the heck?"
"Heh, told ya." Aeryn said cheerfully.
Ciri was even more shocked than Yashito. It was the first time anyone had killed all the monsters in such a short period of time. The previous record was half an hour, but this girl did it in five seconds. That's a world record.
"S-she c-cleared the dungeon so fast!" She exclaimed, shaking herself.
"Yes, she's more powerful than I'm." Yashito replied.
"I-I see."
They went back to the front desk and Alpha picked up her ranker card. She'd the highest rank of them all. She was SS-class. But in reality, both Aeryn and Yashito knew she was more than that. Her power couldn't be measured by normal means.
As they walked out of the building, Yashito noticed that Aeryn's sword, which she carried on her back, was almost completely broken.
This was because Aeryn only used brute strength to kill the hellhounds in battle, and the sword wasn't in the best shape since the hellhounds' flesh was as hard as stone.
"Hey Aeryn, do you need a new sword?"
Aeryn stopped and unsheathed her sword. She looked at it with a stoic look.
"I don't know. This sword was given to me by my mother. This and the book are the only things I have from her. I can't just throw it away."
"I understand... I'll give it to someone who'll fix it. Until then, there's an auction today. Come with me and get a sword until yours is back in working order."
"Alright, when is the auction?"
Yashito raised his left hand and looked at his watch.
"Oh, crap, it's already eight o'clock."
"And when does the auction start?"
"In half an hour. Come on, we have to run."
Aeryn and Yashito ran as fast as they could to get to the auction house, which was on the other side of town, while Alpha had formed something like a carpet out of her light beams and was hovering just above the others who were panting.
It took them twenty minutes to reach the auction house.
When they entered, everyone stared at them, as Aeryn's clothes were bloodstained from not washing them after her fight with the hellhounds, and Yashito's clothes were especially torn from his fight with Alpha, who didn't have a single blemish on her appearance. She was the only one fitting to be there.
After taking their seats, they felt that all eyes were on them. Aeryn and Yashito because of her looks and Alpha because of her beauty. But how could they know that those two were A -class rankers.
The auction went smoothly as everyone focused on the items and stopped staring and gossiping about Aeryn and Yashito.
There were many items. A gold necklace and watch, a beast egg from a dungeon, potions and elixirs.
But the only thing Aeryn was interested in was finding a sword until hers was repaired. She was about to fall asleep from boredom, but then the thing she'd been waiting for so long finally appeared.
In front of the scene was a glass case with a sword that looked like hers. It was dusty and looked old, but from Aeryn's point of view, it seemed quite high-tech.
That was the moment when her sword, which she carried on her back, began to vibrate as soon as the other sword arrived on the scene.
She didn't understand why the vibration occurred, but one thing was certain: this sword had something to do with hers.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this sword here was found on Gordom Mountain. Although it is not suitable for fighting, it is an antique." The seller said.
She told Yashito to buy it and she would pay him back, but although he did not understand why she wanted this old sword, he bid for it and since he was the only one, he got it at a low price.
After that they left the auction house, but as much as Aeryn wanted to pay Yashito back for the sword, he insisted that she get it for free, as a competition because he attacked both her and Alpha.
They reached Yashito's house as usual with the help of a cub, and Aeryn went to her room to see why her sword resonated with the one she had bought.
Yashito told Alpha that she would be sleeping in the same room as Aeryn, as she wanted to be as close to Aeryn as possible to protect her all the time.
Aeryn placed her sword and the one she had bought on the bed and began to examine them. Suddenly, the two swords lifted and began to float in the air, creating a ball of electricity around them. Aeryn had to dodge some of the sparks when she saw one of them open a hole in the TV.
When Yashito heard all this commotion, he rushed into the room to tell Aeryn to stop making so much noise. But as soon as he opened the door, a spark flew at him and almost killed him, but Alpha saved him by taking him out of the spark's path.
After a while, the ball of electricity began to dissolve, and Aeryn could see a sword forming inside. As soon as the ball completely dissolved, the sword fell out of its interior, landed on the bed, and split it in half.
Aeryn carefully took the sword in her hand and lifted it into the air.
The two previous swords had transformed into a katana. Its colour was black and the edge was red, but it was not just an ordinary colour. It looked like a beam of light that extended from the neck of the blade to the tip of the sword.
But when Aeryn held it in her hand, she felt something she had never felt before. It was as if she could feel her mother's presence coming from inside that sword.
