Everything was quiet at the Kidman family dinner. As usual Cassidy Kidman was ignoring her husband, Clyde Kidman, for having an extramarital affair again.
Her eldest child and daughter, Fawn, newly promoted to police sergeant had decided to be present at a family dinner for the first time in three years. She moved out and became independent the very day she turned eighteen, she's not close to her brothers and even further away from her parents.
Her second eldest and the most invested family member, Pierson Kidman, he's only here today because his girlfriend Maggie cancelled their date last minute as she commonly does. And her last child, Jaxson. The only one who tolerates the family because they are related.
The awkward silence hovered amidst the dining table. Fawn checked her watch, she'd long cleared her plate a few minutes ago.
"I have to get going now."
She announced pushing her chair backwards and picking up her plates.
