Michael prepared himself for the battle that was about to take place. He recalled the information given to him by Mordecai about the three cores he must destroy in order to vanquish this evil creature and the location of the cores.
He eyes roamed the rest of the reaper's figure (not in a romantic or lecherous way), trying to find the cores. However, the location of the cores were completely hidden by the reaper's cloak.
Michael was trying to find the easiest core which was supposed to be embedded in the reaper's skull but he couldn't find it either. He was expecting to find the core embedded in the reaper's forehead.
There and then, Michael decided that the first course of action to be taken is; ripping the reaper skelenton's cloak. That would allow him to see the cores in order to destroy them properly.
After figuring out his game plan, the battle between Michael and the reaper skeleton officially began.
Michael wanted to attack the reaper skeleton first but he was a step too late, the reaper skeleton swiftly rushed to stand in front of him and slashed it's scythe towards him.
Michael reflexively raised his shield to block the attack which caused the scythe to hit the shield with a large BANG!. The force of the attack causing Michael to take a few steps back.
The shield almost couldn't handle the force of the attack. However, at the last minute Michael remembered that his faith had to be unshakable for the shield to function properly. It was called 'The shield of Faith ' for a reason. If your faith in God isn't unshakable, the shield would lose power.
Therefore, Michael strengthened his faith in God and in doing so, he strengthened the shield thereby resisting the reaper's attack.
Michael and the reaper skeleton's faces were only inches from each other. The reaper's empty eyesockets bore into Michael's golden eyes. One man and one reaper skeleton both staring intensely at each other.
