Princess Lilianna
'Well this is boring.' I thought. We'd decided to travel by air to arrive at the castle faster. By we I meant the small group of soldiers escorting me and I. "Let's take a break" I said coldly. "Let's go to the plaza."
"Princess Lilianna, I don't think-" A guard protest.
"No buts." I said; "You will all take a food break and replenish energy." I looked at all of them. "I'm getting hungry." I said; "Plus I can't have a bunch of zombie looking soldiers protecting me,. C'mon now. Hurry up."
Soon we stopped at a food place and I just happened to meet... him...
(Just kidding!)
I met the old man from before.
"Oh, young lady! Please come in! Please come in!" He said when we entered. "How dare you call her highness-" A guard had started pointing his sword but I cut him off. "Put. the sword. down." I said while slightly glaring. Quickly the guards retreated. I smiled. "Old man! I am sorry for their ill-manners. How are you doing? Don't worry at this moment you may address me as her highness." I said; "Or young lady which ever you prefer."
The old man smiled. "I just wanted to thank you for your kindness, your highness." He said; "Take a seat. You must be hungry. What would you like to have?"
I gave him a small smile. "The same as last time. However do pack some more for on the way. Maybe 3 or 4." I replied. The guards looked at me as if I had gotten possessed by a ghost. "Is that really princess Lilianna" I heard them whisper.
-Time skip-
We stood up. "Thank you old man. We will leave now. I must head to my... um... fiancé." I said; "yes, fiancé." Man that felt weird on my tongue.
As I was about to leave the old man called out to me. "Wait, your highness! I'd like you to meet my daughter in law and our grandchildren." He said. A guard stepped forward to stop him however I placed my hands on his shoulder. Lightly I pushed back with my fingers, signaling to back off. "Oh, sure. Why not?" I said.
As soon as those words were spoken 2 little girls ran out to come to hug me. "Thank you for helping us." The tallest said. "We managed to get grandma to the doctor because of the money."
'Oh yes that's right.' I thought; "I paid the old man in gold last time.' I thought.
"Rose! Layla!" A woman's voice sounded. "You can't just run up to a member of the royal family like that. Get back here. This. instant."
I saw the woman's belly. Pregnant... She's pregnant. "Listen to your mom, kids." I said; "Don't stress her too much, okay?" They nodded their heads. "And she is right about royal families. Some royal members can be mean. Don't just suddenly jump on them." I continued. "Isn't she referring to herself?" A guard murmured. Quickly I shot them a death glare and just as quickly they looked away.
Then black... I spotted something black. It ran past seeming to carry something. 'What is that?" I thought. I walked in the direction to get a better look. With the flick of the wrist I brought it to me.
It was a... cat. A cat with a piece of fish in it's mouth. "Well aren't you a cutie." I said but it growled at me. "I won't take your food." I said rolling my eyes at the can. I then looked at the café owners; "Is this your cat?" They shook their heads no. "This black cat has brought us only bad luck. It's magic level is much higher then ours." The woman said.
"You..." I said to the cat. "It's not nice to steal from poor people." I inspected the cat and it's magic level. Still... it growled at me.
The cat's magic seemed to be around the same stage as prince Michail. "Poor, you. You've met the wrong person today." I continued and smirked; "From today on... you''ll suffer as much as you've made them suffer."
"Why did I start to think she was a nice person... She's as crazy as all ways." I heard someone say. "I heard that." I said then looked at the owner. "I can take this little cat right?" The owner nodded and we left. "Well, we have a black cat now...."
The rest of the trip was not as boring. Well I did play with the cat the whole time. Soon we arrived at the castle. I placed the cat on my arm and petted him. 'I am very, very nervous.' I thought; 'I am getting closer to death's door...'
"I think we should hand over the kingdom to Michail instead of Malachi." I heard a voice say; "Malachi is too soft hearted and his powers have weakened."
"Riana, why today of all days? We will not hand over tje kingdom to Michail and that's final." The king said; "Plus where Malachi will lack I am sure Lilianna will cover."
A guard went to report of our arrival when we made told our identity.
"Oh she is already here?" The king said; "Let her in to the throne room."
A guard came to escort us to the throne room. " Good evening." I said curtsying; "King Marion, Queen Rianna" To each I bowed. The king gave me a huge smile. "Good evening, good evening. Lilianna" He said and hugged me. My shoulders tensed at the sudden hug. "Um... No hugs please." I said. The king then released me. "Let me see you." He said; "Turn around." I stepped back and did a little spin. "This enough?" I asked. The king nodded.
"Yes, yes. Of course." He said; "Very beautiful. I will have very beautiful grandkids. I will call you Lily from now on, Okay? You call me father." I nodded. "Okay" I said; "I brought something with me. I picked up a black cat along the way."
The queen's gaze had not left me. I am guessing that she felt the magic level of the cat by the way she tensed over time.
."A cat?" The queen said; "Throw it out. Such a file creature shouldn't walk in the house."
"Honestly, Rianna. I don't think it's that bad." The king said; "The cat can stay."
"No." The queen said; "Have you forgotten that our youngest is allergic to cats? What if she gets sick."
"Well that's true" The king said; "However if Lily can come up with something it wont be that bad will it?"
"No! I... Well... I suppose yes." The queen replied then glared at me.
In the mean time I looked around. Then my eyes fell on two boys to the right was Michail and the left was Malachi.
The moment I saw him I couldn't remove my gaze. Subconsciously I had started walking over to Malachi. I forgot that according to the contract I would nit be able to fully control my emotions around Malachi.
"Hello, Malachi. Michail." I greeted both.
I then whispered into Malachi's ear. "You're here too, Vinci?" I said then stepped back.
His eyes widened upon hearing the nickname. "So... you really are her." He said. I rose my eye brows and smiled. "I brought a gift for you." I said, handing him the black cat; "It can protect you. It is the same rank as you." My sleeves unfortunately fell back. As clear as the day the red mark on my wrist stood proudly.
Suddenly Michail grabbed my arm. "Hey!" I exclaimed; "That's uncalled for. let go!" However Michail held on tighter inspecting my left wrist. "A red mark." He said; "You're already in love with someone from the fire kingdom."
"Well, well. We should cancel the marriage then." the queen said.
I blinked. "Now, wait just a second." I said; "First, nowhere in the law of the fire kingdom is that written. Second do you not recognize this emblem. It only belongs to one person in this world." I subconsciously rubbed the mark.
Gently the king took my hand to inspect the mark. Meanwhile Malachi looked to be clueless to the situation.
When looking at the mark the King's eyes lit up and a goofy smile appeared. "Indeed. This emblem only belongs to one person in whole Zodiac. This is the..." Thr king confirmed.
