Chapter 2 - Found Out

Crowds of people crowded the port of Trondheim, a city famous for its old cathedral. They seemed busy lifting the things they would take to the ship.

Unlike the five people who were standing parallel. They instead stare at the busyness of humans with a flat expression, as if they are not disturbed by their activities.

Borr looked at a woman who was holding a small boy's hand into the ship. He squinted to see the woman's face. Then he shook his head and exhaled slowly.

Borr looked at his watch, he turned to his friends. "We can go in now. How?"

The four people who were asked nodded. They began to pick up their medium bags and walked to enter the ship.

"I didn't think all of this was real," Bargi said. He felt the surface of the ship's inner wall.

Hel rolled her eyes, lazy to hear his lover's words. "You always say that, honey. I'm tired of hearing that."

Bargi turned and laughed a little. He mumbled an apology then put his arm around Hel's shoulder.

The five of them walked. Bargi and Hel took the lead, Odin and Vali were in the middle and Borr was trailing behind. Borr slightly avoided his friends.

After a few minutes of walking and searching for their rooms, they decided to rest for a while waiting for the ship to set sail.

Bargi and Hel were in the same room, as were Odin and Vali. However, again Borr separated himself from his friends. He booked a room for himself.

He acted like it didn't bother his friends. Instead, Bargi, Odin, and Vali left Borr alone first.

Borr put his bag on the bed. He glanced briefly at his room. Quite comfortable with white and gold tones. He smiled a little and left the room.

His long legs stepped into the room beside hers, Odin and Vali's room. He knocked on the door 3 times and Odin immediately came out with clothes that had changed into a white T-shirt and knee-length trousers.

"Hey, wanna go around?"

Odin's eyebrows shot up sideways. "Are you sure?" he crossed his arms, looking at Borr calculatingly.

Borr nodded firmly. "Yes," he replied.

Odin tilted his head to the left, he narrowed his eyes. "I am not sure."

"But I'm sure."

"No, no. You're not sure."

Borr looked at Odin in bewilderment. He was surprised by her "not Odin" attitude at all. That man---Odin---never asked the same thing for a time.

"I'm very, very sure." Borr folded his arms across his chest. "What is your problem?"

Odin neutralized his expression, he exhaled slowly. "I guess you still have to be alone?"

Bor was silent. He put a small smile on his lips, pleased to hear Odin's question. "Are you asking?" He corrected his position. "If yes, then the answer is no."

Odin looked at Borr's face. His memory was thrown on a terrible incident several years ago. When Borr's lover drowned while they were on vacation.

"Do you like the sea?"

The woman in thick black clothes glanced over, she smiled faintly. "Very." She looked ahead, his smile widening. "You'll feel calm when you see it. But I think you've got it."

Bor laughed. "Because I always accompany you here."

The woman nodded and smiled widely. "I want to explore the sea!"

"You mean diving?"

"No. But enjoying the sea from above, from the boat."

Bor shook his head slowly. "That can't be called exploring in my opinion," he muttered.

The woman waved her hand, acting unconcerned. "Whatever it is, I want it."

Bor was silent. He has one idea to reply to his lover's words. "We can take a vacation on a cruise ship."

The woman turned to Borr quickly. Her eyes narrowed and her lips parted slightly. "Really? Ah, days out at sea must be fun." She said as she hugged Borr's body from the side.

A few weeks later, they traveled by water. Not a yacht, but a dark green boat. And of course not the sea their destination, but a river.

"It's more beautiful than I imagined."

Borr smiled, and he paddled deeper. "Watch your body, Siv. You might fall later." He reminded.

The woman---Siv--- nodded modestly. However, still reaching out, brushing the surface of the greenish water. She smiled faintly at her reflection.

She was happy to be able to enjoy time with Borr. He was always busy, but always made time for her. She felt very lucky to have Borr.

A golden-colored fish flashed near Siv. She wagged her pretty little tail as if to charm anyone who saw it.

Siv smiled widely, she turned to Borr who had been staring at him. "Isn't she very beautiful? I want to take care of her!" She leaned back, stooping down to pick up the fish.

Borr widened his eyes, he tugged at the hem of Siv's clothes with his left hand. "You can't do that, Siv! Let me do it for you." He put down the oar and pressed his lover's shoulder to keep him in place.

However, Siv did not hear Borr's words. She removed Borr's hand from her shoulder. "I can do it myself."

"You have a lot of ornamental fish at home. I can buy one of the same for you."

Siv kept holding out his hand to the surface of the water. When her hand touched the fish's body a little, the sound of a bird startled her so that he gasped and got out of the boat, falling into the river.

"Siv!"

Borr jumped into the water, he quickly tried to grab Siv's body which was getting lower and lower. Siv can't swim.

Despite having taken Siv's left hand, the muddy waters of the deep river made Borr lose his grip. And Siv rebelled from out of breath.

Borr didn't like the sight in front of him, he tried harder to save Siv. But, it's all over. A few minutes in the water, Siv died of suffocation.

Odin smiled sadly, he patted Borr's shoulder. "Water reminds you of everything, doesn't it?"

Borr chuckled, his eyes welling up with tears. He looked up. "I'm so bad until now I can't let go." He rubbed the corner of his eye.

He hadn't given up on Siv's departure. The woman who was with him 4 years ago died horribly in front of his own eyes. Regret always haunts him. The fear of loss continues to haunt him.

Borr had suffered quite a bit during this time. Living in guilt, but acting like everything is fine. Seeing the water made him remember all the memories with Siv which unwittingly created a new sadness.

Odin shook his head, he didn't agree with Borr's words. "Everything takes time, Borr."

"But for how long?"

"Until it's all forgotten. Take it easy, I'm sure you'll get through it." Odin smiled widely. "Come on, we have to pick up Bargi and Hel."

Borr pointed into the room. "Vali?"

Odin shook his head. "He drinks." Reply.

Borr nodded, he led the way to Bargi and Hel's room which was not far from theirs. In front of Bargi's room, Borr knocked on the door.

However, due to the unlocked door, it opened with just the tap of a finger. Borr pushed the door wider open.

"Oh, shit." Borr cursed softly when he saw Bargi and Hel kissing on the bed.

While Odin laughed out loud. "Lock the door before you two make out." He closed the door again.
