Lili was all dressed up, with a face with light makeup, massaged and god knows what else. Let's say, a laser is not painful, much.
Yitian picked her up later than she wished he would because it was already getting dark. And when she came out of the dressing room, his mouth was hanging open.
"What?" she snapped back. Even though she knew it was from admiration. But being taken care of for over 5 hours and going through various procedures wasn't as calming as she thought. Well, it was. First two hours. Then it started to get on her nerves.
"You look stunning," he said, and his mouth was still open. She blushed a bit, but still couldn't help but make a remark.
"Wish you would look as stunning as me, huh?" she said jokingly, but Yitian closed his mouth, a bit of sadness reflected in his eyes.
"You don't know how much I would love to be you," he whispered, and Lili felt bad. She knew Yitian's situation very well. She mentally slapped herself for being a bitch to the wrong person.
"I'm sorry, Yitian. I shouldn't have said it. I know how hard you have it." She came closer to him and patted his shoulder.
"I'm on your side. And I will always be. It doesn't matter who you love. You are you and we are free to love whoever we want," she murmured. Yitian looked around and then hugged her. It was a tight and wet hug because he started to sob. She was patting his shoulders, letting him vent it all out. He needed that. His family was fucked up. They banished him just because he loved someone they did not approve of.
"Remember. We will always support you with Lei. He may seem cold. But he cares for you as much as for Chao," she whispered to him. He looked up at her and nodded, eyes still full of tears. After a while, he finally calmed down and let her go.
Wow, he was still a little kid deep down there. And even though she was just two years older, she felt like his mom. Correction.
She was better than his mom. Because every woman who disowned and banished her child, just because he loves, wasn't supposed to be called a mother.
"Where are we going?" she asked when they got in the car. She noticed it was Lei's car now and Chao was the one driving it, suggesting that Yitian didn't have a driver's license.
Black luxury-looking SUV. She connected her phone to the car automatically and played some k-pop. Modern technology was amazing. Yitian just looked at her and then started singing the song that was playing.
"Oh, god, you are a closet fanboy…" she moaned. But they sang together. Lili forgot he evaded her question. And did not tell her where they were going. Until they arrived.
"We are here," Yitian said and helped her get out of the car. Her red high-heels stepped on something soft, so she looked down. She was busy admiring the big white two-storeyed villa with a balcony and dreamy surroundings, on which were shining a lot of lights. So, she did not notice a rosy path leading from the car to the door of the unknown building.
"Why here? What house is this?" She was utterly confused. Yitian smiled. Somehow, it was the happiest smile she saw on his face in the last few weeks.
"This is Lei's house," Chao said from inside the car, and Lili's mouth fell open. His HOUSE?
"How do you mean his house?" She had to ask. She knew that father Jin said Lei was rich, but this was freaky insane. It was almost as big as Dragon's compound. But without the guest house.
"Mmm, he always had this house. But he preferred to be close to us and look after us. And he is not a morning person either, so he wanted to be closer to save some time," Chao said again as he got out of the car and waited. That Lili could understand that. Morning waking up was a nightmare.
"Don't ask anymore. Just walk on the flowery path. It will lead you to your destination," Yitian said and left her there. He got in the white SUV, standing on the side together with Chao. So they were all here the entire day. This was the surprise they were preparing.
She has to apologize to the poor guys whom she was interrogating. No extramarital affair. She laughed for herself. She said it as a joke at that time.
Luckily, it wasn't the truth. But Lili knew they were deeply in love. And Lei wasn't the person to do that. She sighed and started walking.
The black doors were open, and lights were on in the house. She walked in and kept admiring it. It was a luxurious, airy house with an open concept. The creamy colors and hardwood floors. Obviously pretty expensive and newly built.
She kept walking through the ground floor, over the living room to the back of the house. There was an entire wall made of glass. Most of the windows were covered with curtains, but she saw light outside.
The path from the red roses was leading to the open door. She walked through them and was surrounded by the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen.
The big garden was full of lights. Small, big, yellow lights were on the bushes, trees and even hanging up in the air. Roses were scattered around on the ground together with candles.
In the middle, there was a big, enlightened pool full of red rose petals and floating candles. But there was one thing that made this scenery so special and beautiful.
Before the pool, there was standing a tall man. His dark black hair was shining in the light, his eyes were focused on her and his full lips spread into the big smile she was obsessed with.
Now she knew why she had the red dress on. He was in a fitting black suit with a black shirt and looked absolutely gorgeous. In his hands, there was a gigantic bouquet.
When she came a bit closer, she was almost in tears, because all the flowers had special meaning. Red chrysanthemum, ivy, red camellias, and red roses.
"Hello, my love," Lei said, and she was lost forever.
