Lei took her back to the guest house after breakfast. She was welcomed by ten cheering loud voices.
"Welcome home, fujan!" The exact moments she stepped into the playroom. And some confetti popping fireworks. She smiled widely and thanked them. It was pretty touching. Yitian came forward and spoke up.
"We have one more gift for you. It's from your soon-to-be husband and we all put so much effort into it, too." Lili nodded and Lei took her to the middle seat, Chao's chair, the captain's. Because he could see everyone from his seat. It was the best position. And she was now seated there, but with Yitian's hands over her eyes.
"So… you said you never want to be on a pro gaming team. But you proved yourself too valuable to let go. We did not know how to repay everything you did for us. So, we did the one thing we knew you needed," Chao said. Lili blinked a few times, because it was something she never thought she would hear from Chao, and then it suddenly hit her.
That's why she wasn't allowed to see her account for a long time. Why were they all collecting materials like crazy... It was for her. She was so touched. Only the thought of the effort they all put in made her cry. The tears suddenly started to roll down her eyes, and she sniffled.
"Don't cry, love. You are supposed to be happy," Leilei said and caressed her back.
"I'm happy. That's why I'm crying." Yitian let his hand, which was obstructing her view, fall, but she was crying too much. She saw only a blurry, shining rectangle. It took her a while to blink the tears away while Lei helped her and wiped the tears from her face.
When she could finally see, she was touched once more. On the screen, there was her account dialog. Her armor, accessories, weapon, everything was there. But it wasn't hers.
She went through them one by one and felt so proud of the team. They made all of her equipment from scratch. And it paid off. Almost every item was legendary or god-level. Her weapon was a god-level staff, almost identical to what she had before.
When she got to the ring of her character, she nearly cried once more. Lili looked down at her engagement ring and then back at the screen. They were so similar.
The silver ring in the game was called The God's blood, a big red gem made from Hades' blood. But there was a tiny bit of difference from her engagement ring. The ring in the game had eight little black side-stones, four at each side.
"How did you manage to do it?" she asked, holding back tears. Lei blushed.
"I feel bad. I made an order for the engagement ring first, then I forced the team to run around gathering recipes until they found at least a similar one." Lili laughed and looked at the team mentioned.
"Thank you very much," she paused, thinking, "well, because you all were helping so much and gave me so many surprises. I will be a good fujan and give you back all the snacks I snatched." She couldn't think of anything else to repay. They all looked so happy.
"Even those Koalas you bought two days ago, Chao," she added, and Chao looked shocked as hell.
"How the heck did you know? I was wondering if I ate them already or if someone stole them. It was you!" he whined, and all of them laughed.
"Where are they? I demand them now!" he continued and earned smack by Yitian over the shoulder. She stood up and went to the upstairs bathroom. They would never guess she hid them in the cabinet for towels.
"Hey, come here. I need help. It's more than I thought," she yelled as she opened the cabinet. There was a load of it. They all came running and stopped at the doors.
"You really took everything…" Lei said with an open mouth. She shrugged and started handing them out. All of them had full hands when leaving the bathroom. And Lei and Dylan were watching with horror in their eyes. Then Lei came to her and hugged her.
"Remind me to never upset you," Lei said and smiled. Dylan shook his head.
"I will never piss her off. She is fiercer than me. How the hell did you snitch up all these snacks?" he asked in disbelief.
"Easily. Just befriend the housekeeper and the cook. They snitched instead of me," Lili said and grinned.
"That's scary… You are scary…!" Dylan said with a cracking voice with laughter and walked away.
"What?" She turned to Lei, pouting.
"Nothing… Just remind me when we have kids to never cross your path of educating them. I don't want to be punished, too." She stuck out her tongue and then took off downstairs.
Lili found a bunch of adult guys cuddling with bags and boxes of snacks in their arms. She shook her head, thinking that it wasn't such a harsh punishment. Or was it?
"I love you, my koalas. I promise to eat you as soon as possible..." She heard Chao whisper to one of the boxes he got back.
'Maybe it was a harsh punishment,' she thought, because it looked like they loved snacks more than anything. Weirdos...
