Chapter 7 - Departure
"Who are you?" Kenneth asked in shock as he looked at his body that had fully healed without scarring.
"That's not important." Ethena calmly responded with a smile.
Then she grabbed Kenneth and said, "Time to go."
The moment she softly gripped Kenneth by his left arm, she flew towards the roof of the building.
And as she did so, she aimed her other palm at the roof and released a particularly destructive force from it which caused the entire roof of the massive building to be blasted off into countless smithereens that actually scattered all over the sky in this region and began to fall like snow.
"Wow!!!" Kenneth who witnessed this first-hand, couldn't help but scream out in great astonishment and mind-swirling awe.
Then a second later, they arrived a few feet before Lucie from high in the air who then delightedly dashed towards her brother the moment he softly landed to the ground from his assisted flight. She then jumped with great ecstasy into his waiting but trembling, excessively happy arms.
While Ethena who still remained in the air and was glad at their touching reunion, turned around to gaze in intense coldness and brutality at the roofless building of the Black Scorpion.
"Time to demolish your lair and completely erase your rather annoying and useless presence in this city." Ethena said coldly but in a surprisingly tranquil manner.
Then deploying her telekinetic-like power over earth like she previously mentioned to Lucie where she said that she could manipulate or control the movements of the earth and every material derived from it to a significant degree, caused the entire, towering and colossal building of the Black Scorpion to suddenly begin to tremble intensely, instantly producing the petrifying feeling in the people inside that some high-magnitude earthquake had abruptly occurred in their street with their building at the epicenter; the point of origination of the massive earthquake.
A second later, countless cracks appeared all over the building before it eventually crumbled to the ground as one amazingly huge pile of rubbles, instantly burying everyone within and immediately killing them off by it sheer mass and weight.
Once she had done that, Ethena landed to the ground and walked towards both Lucie and Kenneth and said, "Well, I have done all that needs to be done. I have to go now."
"Thank you so so much for reuniting me with my older brother. You have been a blessing to me." Lucie said with total sincerity and great happiness in her heart.
While Kenneth who had immediately understood what Ethena was, just from the few godly feats that she performed right in front of his very eyes, said with immense gratitude in his voice and heart, "Miss, thank you so much for considering our plight and grievances and even taking extreme action for it. I and my sister will always appreciate this for the rest of our lives. And if we can come up with any way of repaying you for your absolute selflessness and benevolence in the soonest or distant future, we will try our possible best to do so."
"No. No need to repay me. Just be glad that you are back with your sister and try to work hard to be able to fend for yourselves." Ethena said with a smile surfacing in her admirably beautiful face.
She then said further with a somewhat foxy, mischievous smile appearing in her face, causing both Lucie and Kenneth to wonder what her intention was, "Anyways, I will try to assist you guys financially, since I know how hard it's to earn a good living in this world."
As soon as she said that and without waiting for any sort of response from either Lucie or Kenneth, Ethena shot into the air like an arrow to where the enormous pile of rubbles that was previously the base of the Black Scorpion were and landed before it.
Then with the gentle air around her abruptly becoming a furious gale of wind such that it powerfully swirled and rotated at a speed that it could rip steel apart once it comes into contact with it, the terrifying wind cyclone blasted with it powerful swirling motion into the massive pile of rubbles covering the earth surface and simply hurled them far away, instantly clearing out the land before her and exposing the items and numerous stiff corpses previously buried beneath it.
Kenneth and Lucie who watched from afar with confused but utterly awed looks in their faces, stared at each other in further bewilderment when Ethena calmly flew back towards them with two large bags in one of her hands.
Then when she dropped one of the bags carried by her before them with both Lucie and Kenneth immediately looking into it to confirm the wild thoughts that had surfaced in their minds, they couldn't help but have their minds blown off completely when they saw that the bag was actually filled with copper coins to the brim.
"You can have that bag of coins and do whatever you want with it." Ethena said with that foxy smile appearing in her beautiful and flawless face again.
She then spoke further but in a rather sly manner, "As for this other bag, I will hold on to it. Hehe."
Once she said that, she shot into the sky as a streak of white light which moved across the vast and endless cloudy horizon really fast such that it literally disappeared from Lucie's and Kenneth's eyes a second later.
"Whew. I guess she is totally gone." Kenneth said while Lucie nodded her head in sadness.
Seeing the sad look that had appeared in her sister's face, Kenneth gently and comfortingly said, "Well, she was going to leave sooner or later. We humans and Immortals can never have anything to do with one another. We are worlds apart. But those wonderful and marvelous moments that she interacted with you, you should keep them as treasures in your heart, as it's totally rare for an Immortal to have anything to do with a human who aren't worth their time."
Once Kenneth said that, Lucie who was looking with a somewhat reminiscent look in her face in the direction that the streak of bright white light which was Ethena fully enveloped by a sphere of pure white glow moved through across the vast sky, nodded her head in absolute understanding and said with a slight amount of sadness still reeking from her voice, "Goodbye, Miss. Ethena. I will always miss you. But I will gladly cherish those beautiful moments that you bestowed upon me."
While Ethena who had tirelessly flown for many thousands of miles across the sky, landed in a place in a city where Aerracles had actually accompanied Jake and his mother, Sharon to too help them in selling off their harvests and further gain comprehension into the myriad human cultures and traditions that abound.
