Ella's POV
I was woken by the light coming in from the window and Phillip missing. I tap Merrick and ask him where Phillip was, but he was still passed out. I looked out the window to see people walking throughout the town. It was a beautiful little town on the side of a mountain and had I not been a prisoner, I would love to explore.
I hear a knock at the door and I turn to see a young man at the door with a tray of food. He stops when he sees me up and cautiously enters the room to set down the tray.
"Hi", I say to him but he just nervously backs out of the room. "Ok...", I say to myself "that was weird."
I look over the tray and pick at it until I hear Merrick wake up. He smiles and rubs my back before asking me where Phillip was.
