Chapter 31
Phillip's POV
The air goes still and the deafening silence feels like it lasts forever before my mother shift. Her black and gray wolf lets out a bone-chilling howl, warning the town of the incoming danger. Sammual grabs the young men and heads toward the woods that surround the dock ready for a fight.
"Should we help?", Ella asks looking around at the frantic people running for safety. Mila who had not yet had her first shift was left in our care.
"We should go back to the cabin and hide", Ella says holding Mila who was visibly shaken.
"You go and take her with you. I am going to help my mother. I can't let her walk into an ambush, not with all of those lycans."
I kiss their forehead and walk them towards the cabin before heading toward the others. Before I can say anything, Merrick is right behind me.
