Luca's POV
It had been just a few days since the raid on Kern and things were heating up in the capital. The Turned army had driven back the silver spears forces and the capital was under high alert. The king had been on edge and hadn't even thought about me. Right now, he was pinning the attack on the silver spears with the aide of the duke and duchess. He and the magistrate we convinced that she was somehow a witch. I'd heard the guards talking about it outside my door light night and I wondered if there was some truth to it. I have never come across a Lycan with such powers. Even the magistrates were not able to conjure the winds. Sure, they had dark magic but I saw the duchess, she had no sacrifices, no spell just raw power.
