Arden pushed the chair back and was about to get up, but Runa held his hand. "Don't."
Arden turned to her and Runa was a little scared at seeing his expression now. He looked like he wanted to kill someone.
"Yeah. Leave, please," Ethan muttered. He was looking down, staring at the open book in front of him. "And that will be a proof of Mrs. Fonard's words about responsibility."
"What did you say?" Arden growled through his gritted teeth. He glared at Ethan and the way Ethan was looking at Arden now made Arden's anger rise. He clenched his fist and almost hit it on the table, but Runa stopped him.
She stood up and held Arden's other hand, so that now both of her hands were wrapped around his wrists. "Calm down," she said. "Don't take his bait."
